LEGO Movie 2014 with Warner Brothers

Post by Aliencat »

Variety has a press release that a LEGO Movie is aimed to film for 2014. Warner Brothers partnered with LEGO for many products like their LEGO Video Games. Not much has been announced for this LEGO 2014 Movie, but this probably won’t be a disappointment as all of their products are quite successful. (via FBTB.net)

Plot details for “Lego” – an action-adventure set in the Lego world – remain under wraps. Casting for the live-action characters is set to begin in January.
Producers have made several trips to Denmark to work with Lego execs on the concept. Jill Wilfert, VP of licensing and entertainment at Lego, is exec producing, with Lin Pictures’ Seanne Winslow co-producing.

Wow!

Another Lego movie? This is already sounding awesome. Only problem is that i2014 is so far away.... We can only hope it will be as awesome as The Adventures of Cluth Powers was.

Oh dear Lord, please let it be a Castle movie! :eyebrows:

Some kind we never forgive
Haven’t seen the back of us yet
We’ll fight as long as we live

That was The Adventures of Clutch Powers and I LIKED that movie. It was cute. I laughed. I giggled. I smiled. I went "Hey! I know that set!" In fact...it is the reason I stopped hating on the rock monsters (see Josh and my flickr stream for the whole back story..well if you dig back far enough). AND Bernie Von Beam reminds me very much of Aliencat himself.

Remember...we are not the target audience..males 8-12 are. The only issue I had with it is that it contained sets that were already retired. Kind of hard for a Mom and Dad to go buy a set in a movie that the kid goes "WHOOOOOOOOOOOA MOM!!! I want that set!" and then they can't get it.

I am actually thrilled this is coming. The way Clutch Powers ended lead one to the belief that another will be following, which of course, will be great fun. If not, hey more fun.

Yeah, I got Clutch Powers on sale at The Lego Store for my little brother, and it's a pretty good movie. Very "kiddie" if you want to call it, but still enjoyable. I liked it. We've watched it dozens of times during building.

Looking forward to see what this new movie will bring! Should be interesting...

I've always liked the LEGO movies when the come out. It is a while off, though. I'd imagine these types of movies would be coming out sooner now with computers being faster and faster.

I am going to chime in and say that Cluth Powers had quite a bit of castle in it, so we might not be lucky enough to have another Lego movie that has a lot of castle.

Just a theory....
