CCC9 - Naughty List - updated 1-2-12
Hey all,
Here is the naughty list as the morning of January 2. There are still 4 unmoderated Brickshelf entries, and then I'll send an e-mail to the remaining 'naughty' entries. You'll have a few days grace period to fix these before judging begins. - Bruce

Wrong or broken link - please fix it
0404ra castle of dreams
Moved to Miscellaneous - entry does not meet minimum category requirements
V&A Steamworks - Drakon Archer, Elric, Dwarf King, Golden Palladin (custom fig category is really for minifig scale customs)
Mahds - To Kill A Dragon Man
legokilt - huma dragonbane
legokilt - draconians - I've moved this to mythical creature, as this is more of a scene than a fig moc
legokilt - Henri II of France
Toltomeja - On the border of two lands (Ben noted here that microscale was only allowed in misc) (micro as part of a minifig scale MOC, e.g. in showing forced perspective, is an exception to this)
Toltomeja (Toltomeja) Seaside Castle - also a microscale

Re: CCC9 - Naughty List
Hi, I'm trying to submit my entry with a smaller picture, but when I click to preview my entry the preview image is not coming up, is it supposed to? I've tried submitting pictures well under the size limit without any luck.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks.

That's because you're submitting a link to a page with the picture ON it, but not a link to the image itself. For example, this is NOT a link to an image, it's a link to a webpage CONTAINING an image:Jacks100 wrote:Hi, I'm trying to submit my entry with a smaller picture, but when I click to preview my entry the preview image is not coming up, is it supposed to? And what's more, there are actually quite a few images on the page, like these:
http://l.yimg.com/g/images/en-us/flickr ... ogo.png.v4
http://l.yimg.com/g/images/buddyicon.jpg#68880429@N02
http://l.yimg.com/g/images/share-this-i ... ite.png.v3
The software can't figure out which picture you meant on the page. What you REALLY want is the image itself, which might look something like this:

Re: CCC9 - Naughty List
Once someone makes this list, is it permissible to taunt and/or jeer at them until they're compliant?

Re: CCC9 - Naughty List
Of course! That's pretty much the point of the naughty list.AK_Brickster wrote:Once someone makes this list, is it permissible to taunt and/or jeer at them until they're compliant?

Re: CCC9 - Naughty List
So to fix my entry, should I just enter it again correctly?

Your entry already went through. Leaving you on the list was an oversight. It's fixed now.Jacks100 wrote:It says I'm still on the list, I thought I fixed it?

My Flickr set says it is visible to everyone, and I can see it from different browsers/computers without logging into flickr... I don't know what else I could do

Okay, that was a different url than the one you submitted on the entry page. I've fixed it and put the entry through.

The photos have been shrunk and reposted. Do I need to resubmit?

Re: CCC9 - Naughty List - updated 12-3-11
OK, In all fairness I know rule #1 is don't whine about the rules and etc. ( and trust me, I do GREATLY appreciate the time and efforts you guys put into running the awesome CCC contest ! ) but.... having pre-qualified my statement ....architect wrote:Hey all,
This is the naughty list. If your entry has not been approved, it is either because we did not get to it yet, or because there is some issue with it. If you are listed below, please fix your entry and PM an admin. We will update this list periodically over the rest of the CCC.
Images too large - please resize them so they are at most 800x600 (or 600x800)
Bubacca - Dark lord Bubacca
legokilt - Draconians (3rd image is large), weaver's cottage
mixinrick - TERRORFLEX - I see that you've resubmitted, but your MOCpage version still has one oversized (800x794)
rapsmocs - Steer Powered Ram
Throndor - Monk
Throndor - Orc of Isengard
Too many images - only three images allowed per entry
Wrong or broken link - please fix it
rapsmocs - Oasis Ambush (it looks like you've set your page to 'private')
Moved to Miscellaneous - entry does not meet minimum category requirements
V&A Steamworks - Drakon Archer, Elric, Dwarf King, Golden Palladin (custom fig category is really for minifig scale customs)
Mahds - To Kill A Dragon Man
Where in the rules does it say that the figures have to be minifig scale? I looked at the official 'Rules and Information' page and didn't see any requirement that the entries match 'minifig' proportions. There is a mention of "in the spirit" of the category .. but that doesn't seem to be a fitting reason to relegate what is clearly a "Fantasy Castle Figure" or a "Realistic Castle Figure" to the Miscellaneous Category?
Am I to be penalized for thinking a bit out of the box?
( at the risk of sounding whiny....... )
: )
Best,
Guy
p.s. yes... yes... I know rule #9!
