White line's on lego figures heads

Post by mitty14 »

Hello i recentley went through my old lego bin. i found more then half my figures had this whitle line on the neck of their heads. i started buying a few heads to fix the problem but when i got them after a while they had the white line too. Im wondering is this normal or is it damaged. If i could get a ansewer soon that we be awsome because i dont want to keep buyings to realise the white line is normal

Do you have a picture? Where on the neck is the white line?

if that dosent work: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/856/img8848w.jpg/

sometimes its hard to see other times its easier to see. when its easier to see the head is very loose. sometimes it also leads to the head splitting. the red circle indicates the white line. it is harder to see on cameras (though).

Hmm. From the picture, and from what you said, it looks like a place where the plastic has been stressed. Maybe those heads were pulled off the torsos at a bit of an angle, rather than straight up, so the neck post distorted the neck hole.

is that normal or bad? is it worth continuing to buy replacement heads? because i have lots of vintage heads and star wars heads that have that.

It shouldn't really be a problem, unless you plan on making them do hand stands! ;)
