Yes, Kingdoms sure seems like it disappeared in a hurry, doesn't it? I may be way off, but it seems like the blacksmith attack and mill raid didn't come out all that long ago. *sigh*

Well with the possibility that I'm going way against the flow..
These figures don't look all that exciting...There doesn't seem to be anything thats different from what Lego already produces.
They don't exactly have the wow factor that the collectible minifigure range has. I see the next set of minifigures and go wow think of the possibilities... I look at the LoTR figures and think... um well ok

my initial thoughts..
nice.. a patterned dwarf helmet [ I want a few of those] but not a new colour for the beard,
the grey wizard hats nice... possibly a new beard that looks alot like the old one.
2 new colours for snape hair, thats handy.
5 pairs of the same short brown legs.. Doesn't anyone wear a different colour?
A bunch of dark green short and long capes.
Elf hair with ears interesting but we kinda had those in the minifig range.
torsos with little waistcoats... not exactly alot of use.
and 4 different colours for a mop hair style.. Can't really think of a lot of uses for those.

Im quite sure that ''Boromir'' is actualy Theoden. Face is surely too old for Boromir, as well the orange colour. And that blue torso...I dont know but the point is that hes not just too weird for Boromir, but also too similar to Theoden.

Not sure what more you want? New Sword Molds, helmet molds, Horses, shields, beards, capes, Cave Troll....enough for an old man like me.

Hey,

I just got rid of a bunch of posts based on leaked images. Quick hint - if you see an image marked "Confidential. Not to be copied or disclosed. Preliminary image." - that's a leak. Don't post those pictures here, link to the source, or discuss their contents.

However, we do have official and semi-official news to discuss - the image of the figs, the teaser posters, the list of sets with their contents, and the descriptions of those sets by people who were at Toy Fair London.

*edited* has images (albeit fuzzy ones) that aren't confidential (I hope!).

Please refrain from the discussion of images that have already been warned about. Thank you.

nice! Actually, judging by this picture, baromir seems to be the best minifig. I hope they end up giving aragorn a cape, as well as making a hair piece to swap with gandelf's hat. Oh and I was kind d of hoping for something like this, but it's not to late for them to change it. Someone mentioned to me that in the early stages of design, they tend to use existing, crude pieces, so I'll keep my fingers crossed. Gandelfs cart is probably the only set I'd get, maybe urk hai army, but that's it/

Fellowship: The fellowship looks good and much better than the earlier poster. The use of the highlander sword works well for me. Boromir looks much better now. His shield and cloak really make him stand out. Too bad LEGOlas can't have a quiver or a cape. The hobbits are perfect. Gimli's axe is ginormous! (easily fixed) His helm is incredible. The lack of a staff for Gandalf is nutty. A bar for a staff? Atleast his torso is printed. The beard looks like it may have some hair around the sides? I hope so (because) without some hair in the back it will not look like him. He is the most important character across all 5 movies and he only gets a new beard? I cannot express how disappointing the Gandalf fig is to me. Please make a staff mold for him.

Baddies: I actually like gollum. I think he will come with two different expressions for his split personality. (the poster shows Smeagol and the minifig Gollum) The Uruk looks great. What is the Uruk's actual skin color? The two orcs are nice but I don't like that they look like they are wearing gloves. I'm not sure about that moria orc torso. I can't tell what that reddish area on the torso is. The ringwraith is great.

Overall things are looking pretty good.

I hope the Moria orc is sand green, but he looks like the new olive green from the Dino sets.

I thought that they were different images...sorry. They didn't have the confidential mark, though.
