Misty shrine - Nocturnus embassy

Post by Bruce N H »

Hi all,

Lisqr presents the Nocturnas embassy in the Mystic Isles as part of the ongoing Guilds of Historica collaboration over on Eurobricks. Even without knowing anything about the backstory, I was really moved by this haunting and mysterious build. The color scheme is particularly effective.

Thanks for pointing this out, Bruce. The color scheme, as said, really enhances the moc. I also like the plate built trees, which seems to be seldom done these days. The black tentacles all over the place are neat too.
You would rather be building right now.

Wow, I love the feel of this MOC. It's a real "fantasy" style castle and I love it.

This is not an embassy I would like to visit, lol.
I think the swords + the jet engines that make up the turret are my favorite part. Nicely done :)

Yes this is a nice one. Have seen it on EB when going through guild topics and moc. Just whoa about this, so beautiful. Great mix of good and evil. :D

The front page of CC does have links to flickr now, so that you can fave it there.

This is really beautiful, and I really like the colors. Are the leaves painted? (I feel like that question has a very obvious answer; I'm just not sure what it is!)

The concept art (a link to which is also on the front page of CC right now) is also very beautiful, and I can clearly see the inspiration for the build.

no, the leaves are made out of 1x2 and 2x2 plates.
