MOC: Fortaleza de Lyon (Lyon Fortress)

Postby Pedro Ivo » Sun Feb 26, 2012 4:53 pm

Hi everyone!

I want to show you my lastes creation, called Fortaleza de Lyon (in english: Lyon Fortress).
I made this as my entry to the brazillian community monthly challenge. It's a high fortified mansion, situated near a mountain.
It's by far the biggest creation I've ever made and it took a lot of time! :D
I won't keep writing, because my english is very limited, so here are the pics! Hope you like it!

Well, that's it!
You can see all these pictures and a lot of some more in my Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/pedroivoep/sets/72157629087883326/with/6929409833/

Please, C & C are very welcome! :)

And can someone give me any tips on photography? It was very hard to take good pics, because is a very large MOC (its 64 x 64 studs)! :?

And another question: how can I put an image that you can go to my gallerie just by clicking on it?

very nice, you defiantly have some skill :) I like the angles on the draw bridge and wall section :D my only complaints would be that there scene looks a little "cluttered",and I find the lac of part of the wall rather odd :?

Very pretty mansion! I could also use tips on photographing large MOCs. I just built one and tried to photograph it with terrible results. I guess the lesson learned here (at least in my case) is to plan exactly what you want pictures of and build accordingly. Unfortunately, that won't help me this time, so I guess I'll post the bad pictures this time! You guys should be able to laugh at them sometime this week.

Very nice build!! I like the great amount of detail!
I'm not an expert on photography, But it looks like you used two different color lights. I find it works better when I use lights that are all the same color. :)
Also the more lights you use the better it will look.

Keep up the good work! :D

Awesome work on the walls and water. I particularly like the foliage you have added to the castle walls.

I just learned how to do this awhile ago, it's done like this {url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/pedroivoep/sets/72157629087883326/with/6929409833/}{img}http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7042/6782850544_07e39b6345_m.jpg{/img}{/url}

Just change the { to [ and there you are. :)

Whoa cool and beutiful castle, all that details on the mansion, particualy I like the yellow parts of it :) very good.
It seems photography of Moc is a problem for many of us, I am very bad on taking photos of my creations, I have a bad camera too but my skills are poor. That is something I would need to work on.

That's an amazing amount of detail I can only aspire to (I wouldn't have the necessary bricks if I tried), the vegetation looks almost real! Your photography is excellent, too.
