It's Good to be Back

Post by Sir Bragallot »

Hello,

I was actually part of this board many years ago, but I don't even recall my nickname. I hadn't touched my Lego for a long time until a year or two ago when I dreamed of a huge Lego castle battle. This inspired me to join Brikwars, where I've been active for a while now, hosting Castle and Scifi battles.

Since Castle is my one and true Lego love, I figured I might as well join this forum again too!

Above all I'm interested in getting an illustrated tale running. I always loved The Kingdom Of Ikros, Andrastravia, Vincent Gage and all those other great Castle sites of which sadly few are left and none still active? I already have a rather big, fleshed out story going on at the Brikwars forum and easily over a thousand of pictures from my battle reports, but on this site I'd like to fix more on story and writing. The battles will be included, there will be enough pics, but there won't be a picture for every time some minor character gets killed ;)

I'm still wondering whether I'm going to use the old pictures I have or do everything over. It has pros and cons really. The pro is I could do things differently and better, the big con is that I'd have to do this whenever I'm not hosting Brikwars battles... and I usually am (I have limited space).

I'm still a student and doing a ton of other stuff apart from spending time on my Lego, so I'm too occupied to get and run a domain: if I resize the pictures, can I just post my illustrated tales in the stories section?

Since this post is already waaaay too long for an introduction, I'll end by posting one of the pictures from my archive. Cheers =)

I was just going to suggest the same. Most of the info on the project can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21649

Other threads with the tag "LCC" are related to the above topic. Welcome back to CC!

That looks very interesting, but I'd be at a loss about which faction to use because I don't really have 1 huge faction (that wouldn't lend itself so well to Brikwars).

My figs also tend to be quite unique in their own right, few look like they did when they came out of the box.

My Kingdom is basically a feudal realm, so it's put together out of various smaller forces, most ranging from 18-30 something figs inspired by different lines tied together with a red and blue colour scheme (there's some exceptions like the largest force, the Bulls.)

Kerrat is their smaller counterpart, it's a conglomerate of three knightly orders loosely based on the Black Falcons, Dragon Masters and a blend of Fright Knights / Shadow Knights.

I also have a faction called the Falx Republic inspired by the Roman Republic, Telmarines and Conquistadores which is pretty sweet, about 75 figs. Finally there's some unaligned factions (undead and woodelves, mostly).

I'm also still at a loss whether I'm going to use the pics I have for an illustrated tale or start again... You can look here if you want a base for an opinion. This isn't by far the definite illustrated tale I want to bring to this forum, but a collection of battle reports that 'gave birth' to my realm and story. http://www.brikwars.com/forums/viewtopi ... =20&t=7198 I'm leaning towards using old material, but adding in new where needed to fill in story gaps in between the battles.

On a sidenote, my memory is starting to return. I remember Barbapple and some castle RP I was involved in for a short time, so I'm thinking it was 2004-2006 when I first joined this forum. Still don't remember my old name though, lol. It might have been Jago, for that was the name of my character anyways.

Yeah, that was it. I never contributed a lot though (as I recall it people misjudged my intentions and locked up my character because they thought I was actually trying to kill them, when I tried to return I was banned from the RP without warning '-.-), and can't remember where or when I jumped in though.
