LCC-Loreos-Decapolis

Postby Mark of Falworth » Mon Feb 27, 2012 11:49 am

The fortified town of Decapolis stands upon a rocky plateau. It serves as a stopping point for the silk caravans, and merchants from all over the world can be found here. Even though it sits in the harshest of deserts, water is abundant, because of an underground river located just below the town. It provides an oasis of life for the desert of Loreos.

Well, I tried to put more time into this MOC I was rather hasty in the last one ;) .
I really need more tan bricks! I was running out of them near the end of this build.
I hope to post better views of the caves soon.
C&C welcome!

Have a Awesome day!

~Mark

Thumbnail pic looks good. I'll have to investigate further on Flickr :)

Also, naming convention demands this post be called "LCC - Loreos - Decapolis" ;)

This is some of the best mottling I have ever seen. As others have said your rock work is incredible too.
What guild are you joining?

I'm pretty sure I'm going to join Loreos. I really like the Classic lions. :)

Yes, this is very nice. I am a bit confused as to why you're building for the LCC already. I was under the impression that it hadn't started yet. Are you doing it just for fun? Just to start developing an idea of the world? So then are these non-official parts of the world? I'm just a little confused. Anyway, this is great, and the rocks are nice, and I am going to have to learn how to make some one of these days. ;-)

It is very cool to see how eager you are for this project and it hasn't even started yet. I wonder how your first official Moc will look when these look this cool :D

Very nice Mark. Those rocks are beautiful, and the mottling of the wall is too.
You would rather be building right now.

This MOC is just for fun, and does not count for points towards a challenge of any kind.:) The "project" is still a "project". Although the "committee" is scrambling to get the signup threads posted soon. :tasty: this is just throwing out ideas and boosting numbers/interest. :)

This is a really cool MOC :) Even if you are confusing some of the LCC lurkers with "posting too early" ;)

Seriously, if you Loreos builders don't pick Mark as your FO, I'd like to hear the reason. (If he wants to be one, of course).

Looks great, especially like the rocks. On the Loreos side do the minifigs have to be Crusaders with new style armor? ~KnightMan~

Was there anybody else who wanted Loreos FO yet than Mark and if Mark doesn't want it we make him take it ;).
No but I think Mark would be up for the job and a good choice but we will see that then when the time comes first that.
