LCC Character Introduction Challenge

Post by wobnam »

Note: This thread is no longer in use. From now on, please post your CIC entries along with your signup post in the signup thread.

Welcome to the Lands of Classic Castle Character Introduction Challenge!

This is where you introduce your character with a MOC and a description of who he/she is. You are not officially a part of LCC (and not eligble for points in other contests and challenges) until you have completed the CIC. Completing the CIC will earn you 5 personal points.

Make sure you've read all the relevant info in LCC General Information and FAQ (posts 1 and 2) and put a lot of thought into who your character will be and which faction he/she will belong to. Take special note of the rules about banner colors and sigils.

Minimum requirements:
- Correct faction banner colors
- Correct faction sigil use
- Backstory

There are no size or quality requirements, but focus on your character and try to build a creation that shows your character in a natural and representative setting. Remember that this build will define your character more than any other.

THIS THREAD IS FOR POSTING ENTRIES ONLY! ASK QUESTIONS AND DISCUSS IN THE DISCUSSION THREAD.

Here my entry,
a small vig of the lord of orks and a few of his men attacking a Garheim fortress
a better pic of the lord of orks and a few of his officers
the lord of orks was once a general for a great orken king (the copper general was once under the rule of this king as well) this king decided to seek out and concur new lands so he left his distant home land and set sail for Roawia, when he arrived he began an Immediate conquest, but he underestimated the power of the land and he and most of his forces were killed, now his general took charge of what was left of his army and fled into the wild land where he has set up a base to wait for a chance to avenge his dead king.

Above is Velaryon of Strongborough, son and heir of Vyctarion, Lord Strongborough, defender of the Wolfsfang Pass. Velaryon is the eldest of four syblings and has made many friends amongst the population of the Strongborough region. The house of Strongborough are descendants of Vyctor Strong, bastard son of a Lenfel Lady and an unknown Garheim Lord. Vyctor built the great stronghold of Strongborough, Castle Iron Fist, and reigned there as a independent sovereign for 60 years. After that his son took his seat as ruler over the Wolfsfang Pass, but once the Lenfel army came knocking at his door he kneeled and swore that Lenfald had the sword of every Strongborough Lord from now on. It is considered one of the most respectable houses in Lenfald and holds a lot of land at the border between Lenfald and Garheim.

Image

Seen here are (from top to bottom) Velaryon, his father Vyctarion, his oldest friend Deiros Vlakor the son of a merchant, who befriended Velaryon at a young age and has been on many adventures with him. And last is Faylúna "Fay" Lathiel, the daughter of Elven-Magnae Idhrenion Thalion who knows the woods of Lenfald like the back of her tights.

Hope this is enough for an introduction MOC. If not you can delete it and I'll post something new on here as soon as I can

Wobnam will most likely add this to the first post, but once you complete your Character Intro Challenge and are placed on the "APPROVED LIST", you become an official member of the LCC, and attain the rank of "Peasant", allowing you to display the official LLC banner for that rank in your signature block (for more about ranks, see the general info/FAQ thread).

Deeplinks for the images are:

Thanks to Lord_of_Orks for making the banners, and if you have any questions about how to add the image to your signature block, check the FAQ thread for one possible solution. If that doesn't work, feel free to PM me.

this is Sir Terryn and Aramos .
knight of loreos and servant of the king
http://www.flickr.com/photos/lord_woodz/6940050689/

Ah , the life and time's of Sir Terryn..
Tis a short story at this point , Terryn son the proud knight Shakaar.
Born into this role he takes his position very lighty. Always willing to fight
but never really seeking it out. He rides upon the mighty Aramos a smart stallion
once his fathers horse now his faithfull companion, see the people of the plains believe the
bond of rider and horse a sacrite bond. This is definately the case here.

since his fathers passing a month ago something has been building in the young knight.
He has been seen training, and running the plains on Aramos...

Sir Marius knows little about his life. The few things he knows for certain are as follows-
1: His parents were killed in an Orc attack.
2: He was rescued by his uncle Dirk.
3: Uncle Dirk is like a father to him.
4: His father was a very famous knight, and that's where he got his sword and magic shield.
5: He has a little brother also rescued by Dirk.

Marius is a very young knight, but he is highly respected for his combat skills. His first battle as an armed fighter showed that, in combat, he is a remorseless killer, showing that the death of his parents mentally scarred him forever. But, despite his childhood trauma, he manages to keep a cheerful smile on his face. In everyday life he is fun, playful, sarcastic, chivalrous (around the ladies) and, unfortunately, very lazy. His favorite activity is showing off his combat capabilities around his friends, and besting his uncle in hand-to-hand combat.

Seen here is Lokiten Myrikhim, a minor rural nobleman from the northern coast of Lenfald. Descending from a long line of rulers of this relative backwater, his fief is usually peaceful with the exceptions of occasional bandits and, more notably, privateers. Things go along at their own pace around his small manor, with little interruption of any kind.

Ashab

Born in the North but raised as a Loreesi after the war destroyed is family, Ashab was made prisonner at the age of seven and sold as a slave to a rich lord of the Desert. He earned his liberty ( we will see how in a later MOC ) and is now working as a mercenary defending, protecting and fighting who is paying him. He is currently working for a merchant, escorting the caravan through the arid desert. We can see him and the rest of the caravan taking a rest at one of the garded oasis that are scattered along the road.

Mark of Falworth is a young noble of Loreos, and a direct descendant of Prince Lorean. He was born near the border of Lenfald, but was raised in the harshest of deserts. He has grown accustomed to the dry heat, and the desert winds against his face. Continually training and raising new troops, he is a diligent leader. Though he hopes for peace, he also realizes that war must come soon, and though he is loyal to the King, he feels he must strike a blow for the defense of the desert. The blow, when it comes, will be a powerful one. His lands are vast, and his retainers... numberless. He will lead them to glory... for the glory of Loreos!

LCC - Garheim - CIC for Kroth Stonegrinder

Post by gurusql »

Image
Kroth Stonegrinder is an experienced warrior and currently the Captain of the Guard for the town of Havenhill. He does not carry the title of Sir since at present he does not own any land. The town of Havenhill is situated along a river that is near the center of Garheim.

Kroth was born in Havenhill, the son of common solider. His mother died in child birth and this father died in a battle when he was only 10. He is intelligent and well organized a trait that has served him well over the years.
Image
A meeting of the senior military minds in Havenhill. Shown in the photo with Kroth are the following:

Sitting to the right of Kroth is Lord Aldolphus - Lord Aldolphus is the owner of the land of Havenhill. He is loyal to the King rules his lands fairly and greatly depends on Kroth to keep the military running smoothly.
Sitting to the left of Kroth is Beryl Tourmaline - Beryl is an experience dwarven axe master. Beryl raised Kroth after the death of his father.
Sitting across from Kroth - The two other knights of the city, that we will learn more about in future MOCs.
Standing is Lanseril Snowmantle - Lanseril is the Paige and standard bearer.

Re: LCC CIC Fibar Mac Sgian Outlaw

Post by legokilt »

Born under the sign of Libran, a child was born. The one chosen for the most mighty of tasks, the avenging angel of the Gods. He was the sole survivor of the raid of the Garhim Underlord Riikis the Black on the Lenfald village of Burphleigh. Taken as a slave to the lands of the Garhim, he was raised as a goatherd. He grew strong like the people of his forced homeland but kept the flame of hatred for them burning bright and hidden. The child was Finbar, called Herdsen by the Garhims, but he would become known by his true name, Finbar Mac Sgian.

Upon reaching adulthood Finbar was trained to fight in the traditional weapons of the Garhim, the axe and the spear. All the while he planned for the day he would return to Lenfald and exact his revenge on those who took him from his true home. That day came during Yuletide in his 17th year. Rikkis the Black and his raiders left Wulfsburg for a raid on the Lenfal town of Lochview, and Finbar joined them. During the raid Finbar struck down his overseer Gurfeld the Unwashed allowing the towns people to flee to safety while he took refuge in a manger. Following the raid, Finbar made his way to the great Lenfeld forest to begin his plans.

In the dusty plains and deserts of Loreos is the small fiefdom of Hayden, Baron of the Eastern Dunes. He is a keen trader and experienced warlord. But best of all, he realizes the need for trade with other factions and within his own faction, he allows and endorses all attempts for markets and small local business.
He is considered wise, an administrator in a wild section of the known world, but without a sword to back him up. He prefers to use a staff, far mightier than a sword, less cumbersome than a spear and much more useful on a horse.
He is fiercely loyal to his betters and protectorates alike.

Northwest in Loreos the old 'Toberg school of warfare' is placed. It is known to be one of the best war schools in all of Loreos. Here the best fighters among the noble children are trained in all sorts of weapon handling, war strategy and first of all horse riding. They are on the school from they are 14 years to 17 years. There are 30 students at the school (10 at each age).
Old Toberg students often rides under a darker red standart than the rest of the Loreesi to show their relation to Toberg.

My character has been a teacher on the school for 5 years and the headmaster for two year. His name is Benjamin Toft, among friends know as Bentoft.
Image

Benjamin is married to Christina seen below:
Image

Christina is also a teacher on the school and teaches archery. She is originally from Lenfald, so most Loreesi don't trust her, and she is hated as a traitor in Lenfald.

My CIC moc is from the headmasters office on the school:
Image

Notice the sword in the wall, it is said to be the sword of Lorean, but nobody really believe in that. On the other hand nobody dares to remove it.

Image

You could consider if your character has studied on Toberg or has a son on the school. If you are from Lenfald, you could be a relative to Christina.

Leif Thorstein was born the middle son of a middle class Garhim family. The Thorsteins are whalers and successful ones too. Leif has two other brothers, Ragnar, who is the oldest one, and Tryggvi, the youngest. The brothers are closely bonded. While out whaling, Leif and Ragnar man the ship, while Tryggvi goes out ahead in the kayak scouting for whales. The family lives a normal life, with a residence along a fjord in Garheim. For Leif though, things may be about to change…

Image

Here he is seen out whaling with his brothers.

*Note: Leif's hair is different on the ship than it is on the top of this post. The top picture is the updated version.
