Here is my entry for Felix Barclay.

Image

Felix Barclay is the son of wealthy brewers who make Warhorse Ale, one of the most sought-after drinks in all of Roawia.

Now that Felix is coming of age, he must learn the many facets of the family business. Early in his training, Felix discovered that he was a skilled archer. He signed up with the local guard, who protect both the ale and the small community of Thurdo that has grown around the brewery on the coast of Lenfald.

Felix's regular duties include patrolling the land around Thurdo, but he will soon begin traveling with the Warhorse caravans, delivering ale to Garheim, Loreos and beyond.

Sorry for the Poor quality picture, the only camera I have is my phone and it is useless up close. Anyway....

Dernax and Lixnar the sons of the Provincial lord Garheimer the Grey are two of the most notorious paladin's of the order of Virtue. They carry the banner of Garheim into battle at the head of an army of Garheimians, Mercenary knights and hill tribesmen. The versatility and variety that their force has at its disposal are one of the reasons why Garheim has enjoyed such peace in recent years.

Dernax is the oldest son of Garheimer, he is married and has two sons to succeed him while Lixnar is the lovable rogue who has fathered an illegitimate child or two whilst on campaign but has no true heir to succeed him and despite the overtures of many a noble families daughter,he has chosen to remain unmarried.

They also to have questionable loyalty to the king of Roawia, several rumours of wanting independance have been heard in the neibhouring regions, giving the king plenty to ponder

Richard, it's fine that you have backstories for both characters, but which one of them is going to be "you" in the game? You'll need to pick one of the two :)

Borih Dhurnson is a northern barbarian who came from the southern part of the Garheim mountains. As a child, he was forced out of Garheim due to an act of treason by his father. The family fled southward, and slowly over the years, the family members began to die. Borih, the only surviving member of the Dhurnson family, went on to a mysterious island that is known to house all kind of outlaws and rejects. There, he formed a formidable band of bloodthirsty barbarians, bent on making a dent in the Garheim faction. His weapon of choice is a bronze axe with a small, light, wooden shield.

My Character for LCC.

Image

Here be the tale of Sir Angus the Bold. Born in a wee hut in a northern Garheim glen, he could not boast of importance, as he was a humble shepherd. When at long last he reached the age of manhood, tired of country life, he traversed to a settlement teeming with action and adventure. There he rose to prominence, joining a band of troops that performed brave services to the King, and was eventually chosen to be captain of their group. His band did great service to the province of Garheim, protecting the roads from bandits and defending the innocent and poor. As a reward for his courageous deeds, the ruler of Garheim made him a knight and gave him the fiefdom of Rothburg.

Here is mine:

Image
Robin was born in the Province of Loreos. Once he was 3 his father, a noble knight of Loreos, started training him in the art of chivalry. When Robin was 5 his father died in battle against a group of outlaws. Robin has secretly sworn vengeance against the low-life outlaws. He is now a knight of Loreos and is very loyal to his Province.

Introducing my character for LCC, the grizzled fur trader, Rayth Wulfsbayne

Image

In the northern reaches of Roawia lives a fur trader by the name of Rayth Wulfsbayne. Grizzled and resourceful, he is an expert at wilderness survival, and he and his team of sturdy Beardogs are able to glide noiselessly though the treacherous arctic terrain though even the nastiest of storms. An expert hunter, he wields bow and blade with surgical precision. Because of his unique skill set, his services as a guide and bodyguard are often sought after by southern traders who know little of the wildernesses of Garheim, and the menaces that stalk its snow-covered woods at night.

Lodi Windrun
Image
Lodi Windrun was born in the Rothburg hold of Garheim. Raised by his father, a miner, and his seamstress mother, from a young age he sought adventure and exploration. After several job misfortunes and early starts as blacksmith hand and mercenary ally, Lodi decided to follow in his parents footsteps and become a trader, now in charge of his own small business of selling fish to the many visitors of Garheim. Still small trade, he tours a number of areas in and outside Garheim catching and then selling the fish in situ. Having worked with weaponry, and experienced the mine and fabric trades first hand too he is a natural salesman with an eye for bargain and trades; efficient in getting sales, but always with the satisfaction and smile of his customer as the main goal.

(Added Rothburg as a birthplace to encourage some crossplay with other characters in MOCs :) )

Thorfinn Eiriksson of Ugleborg
Thorfinn Eiriksson is the ninth Earl of the Ugleborg (ugle=owl), a stronghold in a valley in the south of Garheim. The Ugleborg is located near Ugleheim, a small village located only two miles from the Lenfald village Falkerby, which is protected by the stronghold Falkerborg.

During the last three centuries, relations between the Ugleborgs and the Falkerborgs have been surprisingly good, for reasons which will later be revealed. Therefore, armed conflicts between the Ugleborgs and the Falkerborgs are very rare. Not surprisingly, the Ugleborgs have the worst attendance record for Garheim-expeditions against Lenfald and the Falkerborgs fight Garheim only reluctantly too.

However, when Garheim is under attack or takes up arms against Loreos, the Garheim-rulers can always count on the Earls of the Ugleborgs. Although their contribution to the army is small in numbers, the fearless Ugleborg soldiers has often played a crucial role in battle. Despite his young age (he is just in his thirties) Thorfinn Eiriksson is already well-known for his courage and his skills in sword-fighting. Rumor has that the Ugleborgs are descendants of the disappeared daughter of king Alphundus (who wielded the sword even better than any of her brothers), although the Ugleborgs themselves have never made any reference to this story whatsoever.

I am back from vacation and here is my entry for Sir Mencot
Image
Image
Mencot an warrior/adventurer, a member and officer in the exiled and banned order Knights of Justice (KoJ). An order that almost goes back to the time when the land of Roawia was founded, an order that maintain law and justices. But has more and more over time become an paladin order of rightful knights until they wear betrayed and banned by the royal court and the other factions except House Loreos. Now Mencot and his brother Janek are hidden somewhere in the coldness of Garheim, with them they have the Sword of Justice, legend says it belong to the Kings captain of the guards and he was the first member of the KoJ. The Sword of Justice a broadsword and an excellent craftmanship, have borne many stories over time. Saying that it gives power to the wielder, myth or truth nobody knows.
Now the the leaders of Loreos and the Paladin Grandmaster has asked the remnant of the knights of Justice to return to rebuild the order and bring peace and justice to the land of Rowaia again.
Some more backstory for sir Mencot (Samir) of Roseberg, he and his brother sir Janek. Their were sons of a noble Loreos family who lived near the capitol in their family castle. Their father Alexander and mother Lydia were a well know merchantes but the father also was a respected knight and a skillful horseman and jouster like his ancestors before him, their mother was a beutiful lady but don't let looks fool you, she was also skilled with the sword because she had studied at Toberg school of warfare. Altough the sons were at young ages Alexander and Lydia thought them every thing they knew and Samir and Janek grew to be skilled in everything a fine noble young man should be. One day when the boys were 5 and 7, Alexander and Lydia decided to take with them their sons on the caravan to teach them the mearchent and traderlife and this time the traderoute went through the big desert to the other towns and this time the destination was the big town on the east side Stowburn also known as the Gold town. When the caravan was good on the way in the middle of the big desert suddenly the Roseberg caravan was attacked and robbed by cut throat bandits called Le Kharidiens , altough the caravan was protected by the best men Alexander had in his service. The attackers overwhelmed the caravan and this tribe was know by not to leave any one alive. Alexander, Lydia and their men fought hard but were defeted, the last thing the deadly wounded Lydia did was to hide the sons under one of the scattered caravan wagon remains hopeing non of the bandits would find them. Playing dead, she could ensure that the bandits left without finding and harming the boys. She promised the boys that help was surely on its way knowing that Knights of Justice or other knights were useally searching these parts of the desert for bandits and the Roseberg caravan being a big caravan it was quite visible. Finally a group of KoJ found the ruined caravan, by then all the wounded were dead, also Lydia but the boys Samir and Janek were still alive. The knights took them along to the near by town and from there they decided what to do with them. Roseberg caravan and the family was pretty much well know to many, so they decided the best was to bring them back home to the family castle. One young officer named Drasden (the present Grandmaster Paladin) agreed to the assignment to bring them back home but not knowing what effect he will have on the young boys lives. When he returned to the Roseberg castle he found that there was just and old servent couple there and they told him that these boys where the only living Roseberg's left. Drasden agreed that he will help out raising the boys with the servent couple but he explained that he also has his duties in the order to take care of, so he can't stay but he promised he will always for time to time come back here.

Lord Teherean The Elder by teherean

Here's my character.

Lord Teherean The Elder, son of the freeman Wladyzlaw and his wife Hilda of Fernburrow, was the first of his family to join the army of Lenfald. He serves, like many, as a light cavalryman. He has been in many campaigns against outlaws, Garheim and Loreos. In return for his services, his lord gave him command over a company of the Lenfald army. Nicknamed "the Charging Lions", they consist of light, heavy and missile infantry and some cavalry.

Credit for the shield stickers goes to Anthony Sava. They look great, so I suggest you go check 'em out in the "how to" pages!

Pepin Martel is the son of Charles "the hammer" Martel, and his wife Marie. Charles is a master craftsmen, he earned his title when a gang of thieves attacked him and some other craftsmen while they were working. They surely would have been slain, being far outnumbered. But Charles sprung upon the brigand's leader and with one blow smote him down. The other thieves seeing this fled. To this day he has kept that hammer to remind him what bravery can do.

Pepin is 13 yrs. old, and Charles decided to apprentice him out instead of teaching Pepin himself, so that Pepin isn't given any unfair advantages and to teach him independence. Pepin is excited about his apprenticeship, and is seen here about to set off on his journey.

The Martels' gardener has served them faithfully many years, and is sad to see Pepin leaving.

Here is the Martels' house
