Faerie Flowers

Post by Siercon and Coral »

Here's a magical portion of our forest! This was made for the Fairy Tale category of the MOCathalon, and the land of Avalonia. This is haven where faeries ride on little fireflies, and weave in an out of giant beautiful flowers.

Here's a close up of one of the faeries and flower types.

You guys never cease to amaze me. This is awesome! (It would be right at home on the magic isle over at the LCC project ;) )

This is incredible. You two come up with some real out-of-the-box ideas, and then execute wonderfully.

The little pink flowers are my favorites, but the entire display really is a delight for the eyes. :spin:

This is very original. I like the little pink flowers made from the mohawks.

Beyond amazing. The firefly dudes are sweet, and I love the punk rocker hair being used as a flower. The waterblending on the river caught my eye too.
You would rather be building right now.

Very pretty! You've got some creative ways to use those parts.

I saw this on flickr first, and it amazed me then. People have already pointed out a lot of the amazing NPUs, but I'd expect no less from you. I did really like the small translucent flower stems, with the upside down cones on the plant stems. That looks surprisingly good, especially for how simple a technique it is. It's also nice to see the offset plates technique (for the platforms) making its way into MOCs, especially castle ones. It really gives a neat organic feel to them.

Thanks! Haha, we have not forgotten the LCC, and anticipate joining! However we have a duty to the MOCathalon, and Avalonia on Eurobricks lol. Needless to say give us a month ;) and after we finish the Faerie Forest, we'll be starting a new series specifically for the LCC.

Thanks guys, I think your both the only people to have noticed those two things and pointed them out :D

The pink, or I should say PUNK, flowers take the cake. Very creative and beautiful work!
It is nice to see a feminine touch on lego creations!
