Garheim FO Election Thread

No offense meant to richard, but if wobnam wants to be FL, I'd rather have him in the position just because I've gotten to know him really well through the development process, I know I can trust him, and we talk off-list pretty much every day. He also is an extremely competent web and graphic designer, and I know that together we can make Garheim the sharpest-looking faction in the LCC. People from other factions will be insanely jealous of all of the features I'm sure we'll be able to come up with exclusively for Garheim.
So basically what it boils down to is, If I'm chosen as FO, I'd like to have wob be my FL, and I'm sure we can figure out a way for richard to be involved as well. Again, no offense meant at all. I'd just prefer to work with a friend

A Faction Liaison is an assistant to the FO. Faction Overseers can task their FLs with keeping track of scoring, hosting a challenge, or other related tasks. The Faction Liaison is chosen by the Faction Overseer.

I am obviously only one voice in the chorus, but the rules clearly state the FO selects the FL and if AK_B wants Wobnam then that is how it should be. I would recommend that will be enough work to go around and having richard around to help will never be a bad thing.

I hope that when this business is done we can move forward with the fun parts of building and controlling the LCC.

No offense to richard whatsoever, but I have to agree with gurusql. I think Wobnam would make a very good FL and AK_Brickster would make an excellent FO.

And AK gets my vote.

My vote for FO goes to AK_Brickster.

I'd also like to be considered as FL. I've been with the "committee" since the beginning, and I'll probably keep doing some of the administrative work behind the scenes along with the others. Had noone else wanted it I probably would have taken on being FO, but with the other duties I think FL will suit me better. Right now it looks like AK will end up as FO, and through the "committee" I've found we work really well together . I probably won't be able to build as much as many others, which will leave more time for administrative duties (and contest hosting if AK wants to participate).

Looks like we are going to have to slug it out so here it goes.
The main cases of Ak _Brickster and Wobnam are as follows - they have been here since the beginning, they set up LCC and they work well together. Those are good points and all but does it make them good candidates for FO and FL? I think it makes them good friends and they have an unfair advantage on anyone else who wants to be elected as no one else was able to show their skills in the process of developing this project

They are both already on the kings council - so is it fair if they now hold the other positions of power? Looking across the other election pages it is all the members of the kings council who hold the other positions too. It seems a tad unfair there are so many positions held by so few

Also if this is a voting thread then where is the poll option?

Us Irish never give in without a fight and I believe that Garheim would prosper under my rule

I'm glad that we have some friendly discussion going on over this. I certainly am not trying to force myself on anyone to be the FO. Someone nominated me, I agreed, and people can now choose for themselves.

As for my qualifications, I'd say it's less about the fact that I helped set this up and more about that I've proven that I am dedicated to the project and have the time and skills necessary to be a good FO for Garheim. I'm a project manager in "real life", so I know how to run things, prioritize, and keep things organized. I've also probably put in close to 100 hours working on this project over the last month, and I think people are voting for me because they recognize that I have that dedication.

Unfortunately, since there is no way to limit poll participants to just those of us in this group, we need to vote via posts, as we've been doing. Maybe someone can go back through this thread and tally the votes so far, or we can start the voting over, since we've had some recent discussion. Since I'm one of the nominees, I feel that someone else should do this to avoid any conflict of interest
