LCC-Loreos Conflict on the Coast.

Postby Mark of Falworth » Tue Mar 06, 2012 6:38 pm

This is the last advertisement-build I will be doing for the LCC, (hopefully)

BTW this is not an official build this is just for fun. :)

This is the biggest scene I've ever built, It's just a bit wider than my Hippodrome MOC.
I tried some new tree techniques The sand green palms in particular.
C&C Welcome!

The backstory: A party of Garhim scouts was trekking deep into the coastal edges of Loreos, trying to discover weaknesses of the province. Alas for them, a patrol of two Loreesi fireships spotted them among the brush. The archers on board the galleys drew their bows to fire, and the captain of one of the ships demanded the Garhims' immediate surrender.

Have a great day!

Great details! I like the hanging vines from the trees.. never seen green ones like that before. Ill second the great job on the foliage and the soldier climbing the cliff is a nice touch too.

Excellent work on the rocks. The dark grey/light grey transition is well achieved.

Good job on this, Mark. As a recent ship builder myself, I can attest to the difficulty of making good ships, and yours look fantastic. The shaping is really nice on them, I love the curved front. The rocks and palms are great, as usual. I really like the variety of all the trees. One other detail to note is the pebbles on the far side of the beach, it was probably a much overlooked detail, but a great one. Again, nice job.
You would rather be building right now.

Yes, I'm glad someone spotted that! I really like how the pebbles came out and I will probably try more of that technique in future. :)

You do an excellent job mark, can`t wait to see your "real" mocs when the challanges start :D
Those vessels are great and although they are small they seem to fit many of Loreos troops :)
Well done creation

Great rock working and I do live the palms, But the water needs to glint and glimmer, so you should try some white/clear studs sprinkled over it.

As always great rock-work and water (something I'm going to have to try soon). Your boats look really nice, especially for their size! Nice fig posing too.
Keep up the good work :)
