No, you did it right: Falkerby (with the Falkerborg) is in Lenfald area, Ugleheim (with the Ugleborg) is in Garheim.
Thanks!

I say we call the town in the south by the river Ainesford. A particulary good name bcause a ford is a shallow place for crossing a river. So it is a ford used frequently by a guy/girl named Aines :) Cool :D

Elderon, your map looks great! I have to talk to the peepz over at the King's Council about this, but I think we will adopt it! :D

As for the Names, I liked Elderon's too, but I'm curious to see what the rest of you can come up with. Also, submit some entries for the King NPC minifig, and the Introduction Challenge! From what I can see, there's a first global challenge coming up, so stay tuned for that as well... :woo:

I will upload pictures this weekend. I don't really care where the capitol is located. The border location could cause some interesting events.

Excactly what I thought when I suggested that name, and I agree that it's a good location for it. As far as I know, Aine is a female name. Possibly an important person from the history of Lenfald?

Hey everyone,

I just asked Elderon by PM to help me finish up naming and making our map. We'll use as many of the suggested names as possible.
Reason for this is because I just want to get this done, really. If we finish our map we can focus on other fun stuff.

Also, build stuff for the introduction challenge! 2 points basically for free! You can't pass that one up! :D

Didn't get a PM... But I'll consider this a PPM (public personal message) and try to finish the map tonight. Als o I'm building but it'll probably be done somewhere tommorrow or tonight, but then I'll have to make pictures and edit them etc, etc. But I think it will be posted somewhere around next week

Well it took some time but I've come up with a couple more names. I listes them in order and gave a little history of how they got their names. I'm always open for suggestions though, and if you think you have a better name please give them and we can consider it. I'll tage the cities in my map on Flickr :)
Well here goes:

Capital:
Stonewald, founded by Lenard of Roawia himself is a large city and holds the throne to King Godfrey in Lenards Keep. It has a rather big port mainly to give room to all the fishing boats that roam Everlyns Tears Lake. Laid in the centre it holds a strategic point as a gateway to all corners of Lenfald.

Landmarks:
Everlyns tears lake, named after Lady Everlyns lost her husband on the banks of the lake defending them from Thirian raiders in the first Era.
Dragon Scale Mountain Range, it is said that the first dragon found his last resting place here and that his scales make up the Mountains.
Armendahls Mountains, realm of Armendahl the Great who expanded his territory from his fortress on Armendahls Peak and held a firm grip on the lands of Lenfald in the beginning of the second Era, before Roawan the Conqueror stood up and united the lands of Roawia.
Frostpeaks (Sioc Binnain), mountains in the north a dangerous and harsh place, only the most hardened of people reside here. It is said that the Garhim and the tribes of the Frostpeaks share ancestory.
Wandering Woods, forests that hold magical creatures, such as Elves, centaurs, trolls and some say even Dragons. People avoid this part of the woods and therefore no-one knows what truly lives in this dark place.

Great cities:
Ainesford, a prosperous town which has gained wealth through its large market and convenient placing almost exactly on the border of Lenfald en Loreos. It is the easiest way to cross the Aines River named after maiden Aines, daughter of Lenard, founder of Lenfald. It is said she used to cross the river at that exact point often to visit her lover who was of Loreosi descent. The river is now often referred to as the Fork, or Aines Fork, a play on the city name and the shape of the river itself.
Strongborough, is a young city but strong and heavily fortified. It has a rich history and holds one of the most honorable houses in Lenfald. It tracks its lineage back to Vyctor Strong a bastard son of a Lenfel Lady and unknown Garheim Lord. Because he was a bastard he chose to live in exile and gathered a following in the Dragon Scale Mountain Range and eventually built a fortress, later called the Strong Borough, in the Wolfs Fang Pass. The Wolfs Fang pass is essential for passing through the mountains as holds the passage to the Eagles Eye Valley. Strongborough still grants passage to the Valley and has most of its city built on the fertile lands of the Valley itself.
Crakenhaven, a grand port built on the largest islands of the Merkorliss Isles: Merkorliss’ Folly. The isles of Merkorliss take their name from the estranged son of Lenard who wanted a kingdom of his own and decided he would expand his realm from the island he conquered with a small army. Not really a strong feat, because simple, primitive tribes used to live on these Islands. After his coming he civilized the tribes and built strong keeps and castles for his men. The house of Merkorliss laid their equivalent of a sword, a trident, at the feet of the King of Lefald, when he showed up with the entire fleet to lay the city of Crakenhaven to waste. The big market square still holds a statue of the King of Lenfald with the trident of the house of Merkorliss at his feet.

Smaller cities:
Falkenborg, rival city of Ugleheim.
Dragonsmouth, city at the entrance of the Dragon Scale Mountain Range, called so because of the large gate that resembles the grotesque mouth of a Dragon.
Sioc Dubh (Black Frost), ), port in the north, wealthy town that is the gateway to the mainland for the Merkoliss Isles, named by the tribes that live in the Frostpeaks.
Standfast, the last city of the isles of Merkorliss that was taken by the King, located on Refuge the smaller island of the Merkorliss Isles.
Isil Oro (Moon Rise),port to the south of the Frostpeaks, old Elven port abandoned when the Age of Men began, named so because the port is crescent shaped.
Bladefall, Where it is said the first battle between the Garhim en Lenfel was fought. Its port is frequently visited by Garhim ships.
Bloodport, a harbor city which held the last Loresi outpost in Lenfald. It is gets its name because the Loresi used it to ship their Lenfel slaves tot Lereos.

And ofcourse the Map of our great nation, which is also the link to my Flickr (I haven't posted anything of my creations there, but I will soon enough) :D:

EDIT: I changed a few names, although to be honest most of the town in medieval times were actually named like that. But I understand that it would be weird if every town was called -haven, -burg and so one :tasty:

Great work, Elderon!

A general tip to all factions working on names: I've been following all the faction naming discussions, and in my opinion we have a few too many names that start with a normal word and end in -burg, -port, -borg, -haven etc., and too few entirely made-up names. We need some of both, I think.

Yeah, There seems to be some kind of malfunction with my PM's, but it's okay. Glad to see that a lot of people are building!

Elderon, if you have a chat account, maybe we could make an "appointment" and we can discuss names more quickly, because I agree with Wobnam on the point that

so we'll see.

I'm having a remark, being that I think that only one lake is not enough. It would be more natural if there were to be more i.m.h.o..

Otherwise great work Elderon.

The lake was pre-determined and is already fixed in the total geography, so there is not much we can do about it. Sorry! :(
