So, does anyone get into boardgames? We play a bit of Settlers of Catan and more so lately, Ticket to Ride. I also don't mind cracking out Axis and Allies from time to time and am trying to get back into a bit of Hero Quest with some friends.
With Game of Thrones (of A Song of Fire and Ice fame) rising in popularity, I've been wondering what the boardgame is like. Has anyone here played it? Is it worth getting?

Re: Analogue Gaming
I haven't played that game, nor have I heard of it. I may have heard of the game Settlers of Cantan. Is it a good game? Also, I'm a fan of the game Risk, a game where you compete to conquer the world. Have you played it?
You've got to ask yourself one question,"Do I feel lucky?" Well do ya, punk?

Yup. Played Risk a few times. I don't mind it but I couldn't play a lot of it, probably because I like Axis and Allies. I'd imagine that some Risk fans wouldn't like A&A as it's fairly detailed. Yes, Settlers is a good game. It can be quite addictive and there's a few different expansions adding different things to it and there's a two player card game. You can also get the game on Android and Apple phones.krzyzak wrote:I haven't played that game, nor have I heard of it. I may have heard of the game Settlers of Cantan. Is it a good game? Gee, impressive. That last one looks hardcore but I'm not sure how easy it would be to play with. Thet first and third ones looks quite simple / nice.Bruce N H wrote:There are a few LEGO versions of Catan out there:
