Analogue Gaming

Post by Redav »

So, does anyone get into boardgames? We play a bit of Settlers of Catan and more so lately, Ticket to Ride. I also don't mind cracking out Axis and Allies from time to time and am trying to get back into a bit of Hero Quest with some friends.

With Game of Thrones (of A Song of Fire and Ice fame) rising in popularity, I've been wondering what the boardgame is like. Has anyone here played it? Is it worth getting?

I haven't played that game, nor have I heard of it. I may have heard of the game Settlers of Cantan. Is it a good game? Also, I'm a fan of the game Risk, a game where you compete to conquer the world. Have you played it?
You've got to ask yourself one question,"Do I feel lucky?" Well do ya, punk?

Yup. Played Risk a few times. I don't mind it but I couldn't play a lot of it, probably because I like Axis and Allies. I'd imagine that some Risk fans wouldn't like A&A as it's fairly detailed. Yes, Settlers is a good game. It can be quite addictive and there's a few different expansions adding different things to it and there's a two player card game. You can also get the game on Android and Apple phones.

Gee, impressive. That last one looks hardcore but I'm not sure how easy it would be to play with. Thet first and third ones looks quite simple / nice.

Hm. I`ve been playing Natron77, but now Suz Rich seems more interesting and colorful. Gonna buy it next weekend :)
