The Vinturian Revolution

Postby SergeantChipmunk44 » Sat Apr 07, 2012 10:32 am

Lately I have been working on a series of small scenes depicting the events occurring in the mythical land of Vinturia. Here are the latest three, with the first one being the most recent.

The first one is my facorite. The waterfall is superb, and the rocks framing it look good too. I also really like the tree on the right and the small bridge.

I agree with Medieval Guy, the first scene is my favourite! That waterfall is impressive, I can't remember seeing those transparent bricks used at an angle, it makes the waterfall even more realistic. The tree from the second scene is interesting, i might borrow that technique sometime!

Yeah, that waterfall is excellent, and the cold atmosphere in the second one is achieved well. Good job, you have a nice series going.
You would rather be building right now.

I really think that bridge is neat. A very interesting way to suspend it. The second one has a great pine tree in the bottom corner, and I really like the cobblestone technique you used in the third one. That particular technique seems to be quite popular lately.

This strains my pride to say, but that water is some of the best I have seen (including beating my own! :P ). Great work mate!

As a suggestion, the base could use some work.

Wow! Thanks, Blake! That means a lot coming from you. And as for the base, yes I agree that it could have been better, but my resources were running short near the end :)

That waterfall and river is one of the best I've seen! You captured the rapids effect perfectly! And the stone on the third creation in very impressive! It makes for a great base! :)

I love the landscaping on the first one, but the last one is my personal favorite. I love the way you did the road! :D
