[LLC] Border Watchtower

Postby soccerkid6 » Thu Apr 12, 2012 1:16 pm

Here is my entry to the Lenfald challenge "Fortify the Forests"
This watchtower is on the border between Lenfald and Loreos, Pepin is walking down the path to his new apprenticeship.
I know the tower is very basic, but I felt like building something relaxing, I also thought this was a good chance to try out SNOT water.
I apologize for the dark pictures, I didn't want to wait for the sun to come out

I think that the simple tower works very nicely. I like the look of it.

That is a really handy roof technique, it looks nice and it is playable. However, the tower could haver really benefited from cross-supports going diagonally between where the columns and beams meet. That would be my only criticism. Other than that good job, the water does look nice!
You would rather be building right now.

Thanks guys :D I thought the tower looked pretty good myself :woo:
@Eklund: I would have loved to put some diagonal braces in, but unfortunately don't have very many 1x1 brick modified in reddish brown, the one I do have are in other MOCs waiting to be photographed
