LCC-Garheim-LC2-Garheim Hunters

Post by Eklund »

Entry for the Garheim Local Challenge 2 in Lands of Classic-Castle.

During the lull in the fishing season during the spring, the Thorstein’s are forced to catch animals of a different kind. Every year, they go moose hunting. Down in Lenfald, the deer and doose are plentiful year round, but moose are only found in Garheim, which makes them fetch high prices at upscale markets in Lenfald and even in Loreos some years…

The Thorstein’s have been tracking these moose for days, and have just located them resting by a river. Leif is up on the arch preparing to take a shot with his crossbow, while his brother, Ragnar, and father, Stig, prepare to get as close as possible with their spears.

Incredible work :o I love that rock arch, and the SNOT water works perfectly here. The pine tree looks great as do the moose .
Keep up the great work :D

Excellent job on this one. I am finding it hard to comment on my favorite part. All of the background work (the arch, river and pine tree) really just sell the image.

I also like the idea of how you got the standard into the picture. :D

That moose design is perfect. Maybe a little small, but it works fantastically for a brick-built animal at that scale.

Love the icicles too. Great stuff all around.

Whoa very cool. Altough I like your moc and all the great details, the rocks/cliffs, the pine tree, water, moose... I love how you made that baseplate, its great, how the black goes behind the cliffs and that the flags and shield. Amazing job :D

Sweet scene! There are many great details, but those rocks are the best part. That natural arch is just amazing! It really helps creating a cold and barren feeling...

This is a Great scene! So many details, yet beautiful in it's simplicity. :)
Nice fig posing with that crossbow.

The rock formation seems familiar though.

Thought I recognized that moose head from Blake's CCC entry ;)

Looks great though. Will add your points to the spreadsheet and update accordingly once the contest closes.

Hmm, don't we Lenfels hunt? I thought Garhims were fishermen? :tasty:

Nice job! I like it. :)

Wow, this is really cool! I could see the moose head mounted over the fireplace in the keep..
Great attention to detail, I like the floating ice crystals too.

Love the smoothness of the rocks ad the way you blended the snow into it. Great work on the moose's head also.

Beautiful! :woo: Everything fits perfectly in this MOC, especially the icicles are great. The only thing, which you could improve would be to add some snow on the pine tree... I tried it too, but it's too difficult. I really can't say how to do better
