Barbarian Horde

Postby andhe » Fri May 04, 2012 8:54 am

Well 'Horde' might be an over-statement, maybe a Barbarian Crew, or gang :tasty:

I had originally been trying to make the Heroica microfigs in Minifig form (which is still an ongoing project) but I liked the Babarian that I had made and decided to expand the design for a group project on flickr.

The guys look fierce! The torso you chose is perfect, and I like the various weapons and accessories you used.

MG, agreed, the torso fits so well here. Also, lovely work on their faces. All of them are very well constructed.

Whoa an awesome looking squad of warriors. Yes that torso fits really well, actually something I was planning to use also for a barbarian warrior, different legs style though :D

Thanks guys! I have another two gladiators so may add more, but these were the designs I imagined first. The gladiator torso is one of my favourites, and while it may seem lazy to use 'as is' I didn't see the need to try and improve on it! The hammer is also directly taken from a ninjago set. I tried various other combinations, but liked that one as it was the simplest.

I like the one on horseback best--great choice of helmet and weapon.

this new batch is excellent :D I think my favorite is the guy next to the red haired dude(I've always liked that hair/head combo) my only criticism is that some veneration in the torsos would be nice(perhaps the bare one from the CMF sea king or something) :)
