Neat little bridge, especially the roof. Can you tell me how the it was build ?

The bridge or the roof? To make the roof I simply used theses: hooked up to the plates underneath the brown tiles, I can take some pictures if this doesn't make sense, I'm having trouble describing it with words

FYI, that hinge/roof setup is used in quite a few official sets, including the POTC "London Escape" and the latest Kingdoms Joust set.

Yes it is a very common technique, you don't need to give me credit for it, as I was definitely not the original creator of it

Love the angle that you tried with the bridge. The dark water contrasts the scene very well also.
