I vote free-for-all! (of course, there's nothing to stop anyone from forming a secret alliance, heh heh heh ;))

The stronger members would form up against the weaker members and annihilate them. not very fair or fun. But if no one else shares this disagreement, I'd still play for the few minutes that I'd last. Anyway, is the est going to be an actual game, or are we just waiting to see of everyone is connected so we know it works? I say we should play for a bit if everyone has time :) .

I will definitely be playing for some time after we start. (until I'm smushed... )

I personally would like a free for all. But I'm game for anything. :)

I'll be sure to PM everybody the IP number tomorrow before the game/test.

Aw, hope it fits you another time, AK.
I'm all in for a free for all as well. But, if you don't mind, let's keep bots out of this?
I once had a team game with me and three friends split on two teams vs. two bots on hardest. My team got in the lead, and BAM, the bots promptly anihilated us :tasty: .

Oh, rats! We'll miss ya AK.

@AV, Yeah, I agree, computer players aren't very fun. We'll leave them out of this one. :)

Hey guys, could you like take this to PM's please. You can announce when you are meeting, but most of these posts should be private messages to each other. Thanks.

At danger of posting even more PM material, I think this one post at least deserves a place. Partially because I don't know excactly how many and who are present.¨

So, the deal is, that the IP connection apparently doesn't work. My vote as a solution would, I think, go to hamachi (mentioned in that link), as it apparently creates a 'long-distance LAN network'.

I looked for "hamachi" And all I could find was a Remote access site called "Log me in" It didn't seem to be what we're looking for...

Did you guys check your windows defender or windows firewall settings?
You need to allow AOE through these programs before it will work with direct IP.

If the IP doesn't work I'm not sure what will. :(

Well, I just downloaded it from here:
http://hamachi.en.softonic.com/download
And except for turning my home page into some "chatzum" google-copy, nothing suspicious happened so far. Prior to that, I made an account on the link to hamachi (EDIT: actually the logmein-thing) that my AOK.heavengames link held. With this, I believe I can now make a network and give you guys it's name and password, which should have the correct effect...

That's Great! Will we need to download anything? I generally prefer to not download stuff I've never heard of before.

I understand that, and allways feel a bit iffy about downloading odd stuff as well. Sadly, the only assurance I can give on that front is that I've seen a couple of my friends use hamachi (some of them being pretty competent computer guys) without any visible damages. Don't even know the system myself :?
But I'm afraid all players must have the thing for it to work.
