I would ask that the thread not be locked and they allowed to post. I am interested in how this goes and would love to join in the future and if the are having connection problems, its good for others to know about them and how to possibly get around them. Its relevant to the thread and not off topic.

This is information that can be easily gotten by private messaging any of them. The whole thread is "conversation" that belongs in private, not on a forum. Organizing playing a game together is not content. There ARE chat rooms available to have these discussions.

Playing age of Kings would be so frustrating as the Conquerors fixes a billion glitches in the kings. PM anyone who can play at weekends GMT time

Also may I suggest the easiest way to play - everybody downlaod Voobly Client and someone can host the match and have it password protected. Great hosting client and no one should have problems connecting. If only MSN gaming zone was still going :(

@AV, Yeah, I agree, computer players aren't very fun. We'll leave them out of this one. :)
Computers can be great fun when you are fighting custom AI - they are ten times harder than the standard AOE AI

I'm gonna sound like an idiot, but here's my question:
Where do you research technology for siege engines? I have a trial versian of the game, and I'm not even sure that I can make siege units. Do I have to research something?

You need to reach the castle age and then build a siege workshop - in there you can build siege weapons and research upgrades. Also once in the castle age the University can research upgrades to ballistics and arrows etc that effect your siege weapons

I guess my trial doese not have siege engines on Random Map games. I made a siege workshop in the first campaign, but I don't have its icon in the other games.
