[WIP] Archenval, medieval town
Re: [WIP] Archenval, medieval town
Here is the collaborative diorama presented at the french convention Fana'briques 2012.
Four new modules complement those of the past year: extension of the river, South Gatehouse with the market place (Stephle59), fields and fortified farm (Icare).
More pics of my modules in WIP here and on Flickr here
More detailed pics soon
Enjoy

Well that is just fantastic. Amazing colour and vibrancy to the MOC! I love the windmill in particularStephle59 wrote:

This is stunning I especially like the round tower on the left corner of the castle and the gatehouse.
Can't wait to see some more pictures!

The spiral staircase in the curved tower is very well-done. I don't know that I've ever seen that technique before, but I love it.

Very nice MOC seen on Fanabriques.
Here my own picture of favorites details (which I can reach with my camera) : https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f61ou0i7t9w8ty9/9F4Y3eb3sd
Now I understand there were a lot of details I can't see during the exhibition.

Man this is epic! Aside from the excellent architectural features, you managed to make it a really "living" scene with all the minifigs doing their things. Great work!

Re: [WIP] Archenval, medieval town
Hey! What's new?
Did you set this setup aside for a while, to build in other verse times, or is it still in progress, to, why not, expand to two modules more?
I've been in Fana'briques those past two years, and have seen large and huge setups, but what impresses me the most in this one, is that despite its relative small size, it is filled up with tons of little details. I don't think that two days staring at this would be enough to capture half the details in it.
