DARK's village project UPDATE July 5th

Post by DARKspawn »

Hi guys, been a while since I visited but I have been spending a lot of free time in the LEGO room ;)
Finally got the first three of my structures together in the one creation. More sections are to come!

Great ! I was waiting for that since a while. It's a very good start for your village. I'm impatient to see next sections.
Are you going to make some walls, a gate and a church?

Commented over on Flickr, but will do so here as well.
Great job. I really like the way you were able to put the three buildings together so seamlessly. Terrific scene.

As always, your Tudor style houses are quite refreshing.

Great job connecting all of those buildings together. I will be looking forwark to updates.
You would rather be building right now.

Really cool! Those three guys facing off the Barbarians had better run!

I've been thinking a lot about contrasting smooth, stud-free surfaces with "rough" studs-on-top surfaces. I'm not sure that you intentionally did it here, but you ended up making a nice contrast between all the smooth, stud-free buildings and the stud-filled grass and dirt. I really like it. I also like the non-standard base use. Keep up the good work. I look forward to more from you soon.

I think there is actually four heros, a black armored knight with a chain mace. That white knight looks a lot like your avatar fig Dark, is it?

Hi everyone :) Time for another update.

There's been a few updates since my last post, I removed all the vikings from stage one

Then I built another addition, a simple woodsman's cottage

And also a royal carriage

Finally, along with the butcher and market, I put these components together to build Stage Two!

Already starting on stage 3
Cheers all

The village is coming along nicely! The different buildings look great. Busy villages are among my favorite MOCs to look at. I'll be eagerly awaiting the finished project. C:
