Lovely! That is great rock work, and I love the blocky water. You also have some very nice positioning with the capes and flags. It gives the scene a real sense of wind, which is to be expected high up on a cliff. I can't speak for others, but this MOC has an especially epic feel to me. I can't wait for part two! Great work.

As I said on Flickr, I love the rickety look of the bridge, and the scene and story compliment each other very well. I would be terrified to go across that bridge without any handrails though. Those rope bridges have a tendency to flip over!

Mark, that is an excellently constructed MOC; the swinging bridge in particular is well-executed and I think I recognise a familiar style in the ocean--so it pains me to have to interrupt the praise of this MOC to critique your posting style a little bit.

Bearing in mind that the stickied thread I'm linking to is new, and thus you're not blameworthy for not following it, I'd like you to keep the LCC Crossposting Guidelines in mind for any future LCC MOCs you may want to post here. Admittedly, it's a bit of a tricky judgement call: how much story is too much story for posting in the MOCs forum? If you're not posting anywhere else on Classic-Castle, we've usually allowed quite a bit of story to get posted with one's MOC, but when you already have a place to post it on the forums, it seems redundant to overload the post here.

In this particular case, the ideal thing might have been to give a paragraph-long summary of the story here, mentioning that it's an entry for the LCC Global Challenge 2, and then "link to the full story HERE."

But, as I said, this is a new rule (really, it's more asking people to exercise their common sense than a rule), so you're not in trouble, per se, but I want to give the Crossposting Guidelines full exposure to make sure that everybody stays that way.

Thanks for taking the time to read through this longish post, and for reading through the guidelines as well.

Very nice, a real "Mark Falworthish" feel over the moc :D. You have done a great job on the cliffs especially the cliff out in the sea. The "wind feel", drawbridge and water are also great. Nice entry :D

Nice job, this reminds me of your past CCC entries. And of course, the rickety bridge is aeswionme!
You would rather be building right now.
