Anarion

Hey all,
I've been very busy with soccer and other stuff lately so I haven't been able to build much. I did however, find the time to make this for the Lego LOTR contest I saw in the Lego magazine. The challenge was to make a part from one of the three Lord of the Rings movies. For my entry, I made Anarion, one of the three statues of the Kings. I chose this moment out of all the movies, because of the feeling of awe I got from it. The sheer size and scale of him as the band rowed past, really inspired me. I hope I will be able to be more active these coming months.

Very nice! This is instantly recognizable.

How many trans-green 1x1 tiles have you used?

Brilliant work Noah, really love the detail and texture in the cloak of the statue. Instantly recognizable.

Wow, both the cloak and the accuracy of the head and helmet shape are fantastic! Very nice! :woo:

Very nice. Did you have a plan/design to scale plotted out before you started buiding the statute or did you just wing it? I am thinking the texturing would have been very difficult to pre-plan.

Thanks guys :D @athronieth I didn't know what scale I wanted to make it at first, so I went on the fly most of the way. :D
