Lego Clergy?

Post by Medieval Guy »

Has anyone seen a good example of a Lego Bishop or any other religious figures? Bruce's monk is cool, but not quite what I'm looking for.

Many, many moons ago I made a stab at a bishop's mitre:

Not very inspirational, but perhaps enough to encourage someone to a better design.

Hey,

I did some looking around and found several variations - some involving customization, some purist. Follow the links for full size and attribution:

@ footsteps: Interesting idea. I might build on that somehow.
@Bruce: Thanks for finding all those. There are some good examples there.

I believe that many people have made bishops for the realistic/custom minfig categories of some of the CCCs. Maybe take a look at the entries page. :)

That shark head one is hilarious. I know people will say 'lego will never make a religious figure' but I'm going to go out on a limb and say, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a 'jolly monk' type CMF at some point. Or at least a shepherds crook (with a modern or ancient shepherd).
Less talking, more MOCing.

Those are awesome!
If there were an official clergy person it would end up being so dangerous, like bringing up religion and politics on Facebook.
