Year of the Dragon

Post by Bruce N H »

Hey,

For a variety of reasons I've been pretty absent from the forum for much of this year. One of the things that has suffered has been the front page featured MOCs - there have been exactly 4 for all of this year and I'm sorry for that. One consequence is that I have a backlog of MOCs that I'd meant to feature, and had even discussed with the builders. These are just too good to let slide, so, better late than never, I'd like to point you to Schneider Cheung's (aka Schfio's) amazing Chinese dragon that he built at the start of the year to celebrate, appropriately, the Chinese Year of the Dragon:

That's a really amazing dragon! A friend of mine actually has a tattoo that kind-of looks like that!

And bruce, you do have some catching up to do. ;)

Yes, this is quite a beauty! I can't imagine how he managed to make such curvy shapes using that technique. The amount of planning must have been outrageous. I am also glad to hear that the front page will hopefully be getting updates a little more frequently now.
You would rather be building right now.

Gorgeous model, looks incredible. I really like the use of the tail pieces.
