Chapterhouse Window by Projecto Construir

Postby Bruce N H » Tue Oct 02, 2012 1:39 pm

Hey all,

Projecto Construir is a Portuguese organization that runs events involving children, particularly disadvantaged children, in large building projects. Events are held at locations such as schools or hospitals, and run by president Romão Santos and volunteers (often local LUG members). In one recent project, about 30 kids ranging from 10 to 13 years old spent three weeks building the Chapterhouse Window from the Convent of Christ, originally designed by Diogo de Arruda in 1510-1513.

Who would have thought you could create something like that out of lego? This is truly incredible, I wonder who came up with the design for this. The castle this organization built that you linked to on the front page is incredible too!
You would rather be building right now.

Honestly, at first I couldn't tell the difference until I squinted. Amazing build, absolute craziness with attention to detail!
