Kingdom of Halthas (Brickcon Project)

Post by Fraslund »

Greetings! I know I haven't posted anything in a while, but that is mainly because everything I have built in the last year has went into this project. I took each building, tree, and portion of landscape as a separate project.

I worked to coordinate with Jordan (AK Brickster) and I think it turned out quite well as everyone thought it was one project. We had a ton of fun and Castle swept the Best in show award with Alice Finch's insane Hogwarts taking the top prize.

Hope you all enjoy!

This is one of the best castle collabs for a convention I've seen in a while. Great job, both you and Jordan!

Here's a link to my flickr set which has some closer detail shots. It was great to spend a large chunk of the Con with David and his kids. I had a blast and can't wait to start the next collaborative with David and Alice :eyebrows:

Incredible work, you guys! That dragon castle is awesome! The town, and outside portion is sweet too!
You would rather be building right now.

Wow! Just wow! The size and detail of the build are awesome. I especially like the different design atop the castle...will have to inspect it more closely. Going to be tough to better this entry at next year's convention!

Words cannot express the sheer levels of awesome resonating on my screen right now. You should do a siege of the castle :D

And when i say siege, I mean a scene by siege assault of epic proportions

Pictures don't do it justice! I'm glad I got to see it in-person and look at all the detail up close. :D

My thoughts too. Really well done. The transition from the castle to the town is great. Also the town to gatehouse!

Well done you two!

This is an incredible build and the pictures do NOT do it justice. Every time I looked at it I found new details I had overlooked. Truly a masterpiece.

Are you going to try to get "non-Con" pictures of it?

The amount of work to put it back together would be insane(meaning I had no space so had to breakdown quite a bit or suffer the wrath of the wife), so I dont think I will be able to put it back together in full. I have already started building something new, but I could put the back half together. That is still fairly intact.
