All at Once

Postby Gom » Thu Nov 22, 2012 1:11 am

Hello everyone. :) Just recently became "official" on the forum. I've been stalking for about 3 years now and finally decided to take the plunge. The only way I have been able to indulge my lego hobby for the past few years has been vie this website. Now that I have my collection back in my hands I hope to be posting things regularly. . . .ahem. .anyway. Here is my entry for CCCX under "an ill advised journey". Hope you enjoy.

Sorry I couldn't post an image directly into the forum, google's picaso is giving me trouble. Time to make a Flickr account I suppose.

Yes, it is high time to have a Flickr account. Brickshelf.com is also an alternative.
I like the rocks very much. They're very detailed and I see you put really much effort on them.
The idea of placing a falling man at the bridge made it all very dynamic, as well as the other minifigs. The place where skleletons lie is my favourite, the darkness down there gives impression of a really dangerous and unreachable place.
Congrats on the first work, I'm looking forward to seeing next MOC by you!

Thank you very much. :)
I wasn't sure if having all that action on the bridge made it too cluttered or not.
The rocks did take some time but I'm happy with the result.

Wow, great rockwork, and I love the action on the bridge!
You would rather be building right now.

The rock work is very well done. Is that some SNOT I detect for part of the rock face on the right?

The entire rock wall of the ravine is about half snot. I mixed techniques to vary up the rock formations. It starts out with regular building techniques then about halfway up it changes to SNOT then back into regular again.
