I suppose people can complain about whatever they want. I suppose that also means I can say, if you don't like it, don't buy it for your kids.

If Lego Friends is oppressive to feminism and a bad role model then Disney sure better watch out with all the those Princess dolls ;)

Seriously, the theme's great. It does fall into same trappings as all girls' toys of being pink and cute but at the same time it empowers and inspires but more than that it teaches little girls that they can have nice hair and be an engineer in robotics at the same time if they really want to :P

A real issue to chalk up under the Bad List is how LEGO just told the BrickCon organizers that they are cutting down on their presence at fan conventions and are doing away with the store discount entirely. I know we aren't owed anything but it is a kick in the teeth for fans.

It won't affect me that much, but it shows how much they really value us.
