CCCX - Blacksmith Shop

Post by Burlogh »

This is my entry to CCCX "Classic Set Reimagined" category based on 6040 Blashmith Shop.
When I was a child I really wanted a "real castle" but my parents never afforded to buy me any. My only one castle set was a 6040 Blacksmith Shop and it was my largest LEGO set too (yep, with 83 parts). So I've decided to rebuild this nostalgic set for the content.

Somewhere in a calm and hidden valley there is a small blacksmith shop. It is more a wheelwright workshop than a classic blacksmith. The owner is an ex-soldier who fed up with killing and war and decided to start a new life. His old comrade joined him to protect the workshop. Their workshop serves everyone regardless of sides but only with wheels, horshoes and other peaceful tools. The blacksmith refuses to craft weapons anymore.

An excellent re-imagining. My only complaint is that there are too many brick-bricks side by side. They look distracting, maybe break them up with some other bricks?

The landscape is simple yet effective. Well done!

Wow, this is quite excellent! Great redux!
You would rather be building right now.

Thanks for the comments! (It seems there are still some size problems with this entry and I can't fix it so it will be disqualified but comments means a lot to me.)

Unfortunately my little son started playing with it and made some khm... modifications so I can't rebuild that part now but will do once :)

I like the simplicity of it, yet there are neat nitpick details. :)
