Elven Army Customs and Decals

Postby Fantu » Sun Jan 20, 2013 8:53 pm

Based on decals made by ED-209 (Original topic on Eurobricks: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=50061) I´ve made these decals so I could use a few old red torsos on my Elven Army.

Wow! These look absolutely brilliant. I really like that shield. Nice job.

Awesome, really like the combo of gold and dark red. That shield is also really nice

Those are pretty slick looking. Thanks for the link, I'll definitely use those for reference when making some decals. I can think of some custom items that come in gold that would make this look even better. I really love the color combos. Maybe something other than "Silvermoon" would suit this army better.

While both of these are really nice, I prefer the torso print to the shield. The shield is just a little too "cartoon-ized" for my taste.

Great job and thanks for sharing!!

Thanks guys!

The Silvermoon is the capital city of the Blood Elves in Warcraft. I made these decals based on them because they have an awesome history and I wanted to have some Blood Elves in my LEGO collection.

Below I´m showing some references about them.

That's some pretty sweet combos, and the decal's really cool too. The Elves I make are a bit more foresty/ranger-like, but for full-blown high guards or warriors yours are great. :)

Thanks Justin and Aeridian.

Aeridian, in the begining I used to make my all my elves more nature focused, but since I got a few more (almost 30 CMF elves) I´m building an entire Kingdom for them. To boost their numbers to make a true kingdom, I´m turning some old unused minifigs into elves but since most of them are blue and red I´m making a few smaller elven factions to represent them.

The minifig I posted above is a sort of captain for the red elves. I still working on the blues.

Dang, I must say I would just like 5-10 elves at this point. :? I guess I'll see if anyone's willing to part with a few on CC or somewhere... I think that's a really neat idea having different factions of elves, I hope to do something like that too sometime. Keep up the good work man!

These are great! I played wow for quite a while (Mt on a top 10 guild server) but left a little while after BC came out.

What do you use to print and adhere there to the figs? I have always wanted to create custom prints, but lack the knowledge.

Fraslund thanks! I printed them on white decal sheets, since I´m from Brazil I know you´ll find something far better for printing in whatever else in the world.

And now...

More elves!

Great job on these! They sure are colorful :woo:

I particularly like the heavily armored green one. He looks like a beast!

Keep up the good work

I agree with AK, that guy is sweet, and the modification of his helmet looks cool.
