My entry to the third Global Challenge, the Help of Old Friends:
Our heroes arrive at the beach. by ElderonEldar, on Flickr
Hearing the call to arms from all Roawian forces, Velaryon felt he could not let this fight pass. So he and his friends have traveled to the beaches near Durrough.
Velaryon Speaks by ElderonEldar, on Flickr
“Yes so if general Declan comes in from the south, we flank the outlaws from the north. Okay, tell him we will wait for his sign when he is ready,” Captain Darian goes thru the battle plans with a messenger from general Declan, the officer overseeing the purging of the south regions of the Magic Island. His attention is grasped by footsteps marching on the path towards the beach. When he sees who it is he is surprised to say the least.
“Is that Velaryon of Strongborough?” he asks no-one in particular when he sees our friends coming down the path.
Captain Declan walks over to the three travelers as he speaks.
“Velaryon of Strongborough, I thought you were exiled by your father. I never thought I’d see you here.”
“No, not exiled by my father. I chose to leave my home and become a traveler. And I’m not Velaryon of Strongborough anymore.”
Velaryon grew kind of weary of this question. He hoped they would once see him as Velaryon and not as Velaryon of Strongborough. But he also realized that would probably take a long time.
“I understand. What takes you to the beach?”
“Well I am still a proud citizen of Lenfald and I heard that there is been a call to arms. I would be honered of I could help my people in this battle.”
“And your sword is more than welcome. Although I do not think that boat is suitable for a company that helped us out so much during the Civil War. I suggest you come with me to my ship, the Kings Gambit.”
An old friend speaks. by ElderonEldar, on Flickr
As they walk away from the encampment they heard more marching feet. They turned around and saw a small group of warriors emerge.
“Lithúnien Araembar? I haven’t seen you for centuries it seems,” Fay spoke with a surprised look on her face.
“Good day, Faylúna Lathiel, it has indeed been long. I hoped we could once again fight alongside Men. We hope we have your permission to travel across the sea to purge the Islands of Lost Souls from all the evil we encounter.”
To war, once more. by ElderonEldar, on Flickr
So our heroes embark on a new challenge, to purge the Magic Islands from all magic and evil.
So this is mu humble entry into the latest Global Challenge. Sadly most of my pieces are in the build I entered in the CCCX, which is going to intact for quite a while still (at least the whole of February), so my entries to the Global Challenge will not be that big. Which is too bad, because I wanted to add a lot more troops and at least a couple more Elves. But maybe next time right . So I hope you will forgive me that I have not detailed the landscaping as much as I usually do
C&C as always appreciated even if you don't like it
greetings,
Elderon

Good, a nice write-up always gives more feel to the scene imo. I love how your characters talk as casually as a couple of Canadians planning a night out in preparation of the war

Very cool little ship and the tent fits nicely.
Nice use of the ninjago snake too.
Just wondering, have you gotten your fig yet?

Interesting ship design, I like the path leading down towards the shore, too.
