THE REBRICK ANNIVERSARY CASTLE CONTEST

Post by royalbrickcustoms »

Hey guys,

When I was searching Google for Lego Castle Building Challenges I came across this:

THE REBRICK ANNIVERSARY CASTLE CONTEST

http://rebrick.lego.com/en-US/BottomMen ... ntest.aspx

This contest started on January 15, 2013 and ends on October 31st, 2013.

The prizes are great, including the full line of Castle 2013 sets.

Ya'll should check this out, and maybe some of our talented builders on classic-castle (and the LCC) will enter.

Wow, that's a pretty lengthy entry period. I'm sure that there will be some interested *cough*Mark*cough* builders on this site who will check it out.

Thanks for sharing!

Sweet! But yeah, I agree with AK, somebody's going to find out about this and there won't be much competition then... :?

I'll check it out and see what I can plan for.

It also says that this is part of the special thing they are doing at the conventions this year, where the best castle from each con will be selected as a semifinalist. I guess if I don't win at BrickCon, I'll have to use this as my fallback plan ;)

It'll be interesting to see if the number of AFOLs displaying castle creations goes up significantly at these events - perhaps even with some AFOLs going to these events solely to "compete". I even wonder if people don't win at an early convention on the list if they'd then go to another convention to "try again".

So which convention is likely to least amount of castle MOCs? ... BrickCon isn't a big castle show, right? :tasty:

HA! Brickcon owns at Castle. We took all 3 top prizes in the "Best in Show" awards last year :)

Dang it, I'm not old enough to enter. Well I would still like to see entries from all of you that are old enough, it would be awesome if all of our really good builders entered :D

Wow! This is cool! I think my friend Tastymuffins got his castle entered into this during BFAL.

Very interesting... ;)

Kevin from TLG talked about this at Briscks Cascade. Sounds like it will be fun.
