LCC -Lenfald - Illianaro Castle

Post by friskywhiskers »

My second attempt at a Castle. Took soccerkid's suggestion that I make the flooring of the towers wooden, and I added some crenelations. What do you think?

The wooden floor looks really good and I like the Tudor section.

Great work frisky! The landscaping sets off the castle wonderfully and I like how you kept the castle relatively simple yet still added a lot of interest with the tudor section, curved part, dark grey and dark tan highlights (which I really like) and the 1x1 rounds on the corners of the tower. Nice effect with the inverted slopes and rounds under the crenelations as well.
In my opinion vastly superior to your first castle, though I may be a bit prejudiced since I suggested some of the changes :roll:

@Medievalguy Thanks!

@soccerkid Thank you, buddy! Oh, I definitely agree that this is a far better castle. The first one was too grey as a whole and lacked any interesting landscape. I must say that though I usually never have a problem with Tudor work, making a curved one was very difficult!I ended up using mainly friction, but the necessary supports disallowed me from doing an interior. I'll have to solve that for castle number three! :)

Wow, this is great! :D Nice job on the Tudor sections.
I really like the foliage, too.

Yeah, "Mark Popular" is officially added to the CC list of jargon.

Example, "Dude, this castle is great! It's totally MP!"

What soccerkid said. This whole thing is wonderful. I especially love the landscaping around the castle. I can't wait to see more castles from you!
