Castle GreySkull

Post by Fraslund »

Greetings!

Finally finished! This build is a bit sloppy, but honestly I was just trying to finish it.. It was way more parts intensive that I originally intended, and really was an exploration in techniques I hadn't used before. by the time I was done, I felt I could have done a better job in the front from where I started and the overall design, but such is life :D

Incredible texturing throughout the build, and the round towers are carried off beautifully :o
I think the "sloppy" feeling actually adds to the build. The wooden section on the top of the back tower adds a nice bit of color/contrast :)

That's pretty impressive and it brings back memories from my teens. Now... where's Cringer?

Very well done. I particularly like the fangs.

The texture of the overall build is amazing. Those round towers are inspiring. Great job! :)

Yea Frontpage material :D
Good thing it got up there, because I would had forgotten to comment on this masterpiece :D

"I have the power"
There is no need to think this is sloppy, if it is it only helps as soccerkid said. Oh man I loved Masters of the universe when I was a kid and this brings back so memories.
Very awesomly made, did you use something more than images from magazines as reference?
You should build and design some more He-Man Lego stuff, as in this thread it was discussed about decades-old irrelevant license ideas: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=23358 , TLG could make a Motu theme and I would absolutely vote for you to design the sets, based on this moc of yours :D

Wow great build! I was always more of a Thundercats fan myself  but I remember He-Man. The texturing is excellent and the skull face is very well-done. Great job!

Really impressive man! I like how the entrance collapses downward to make an opening jaw. Very clever, and effective shaping and texturing too!
