I want to go see it man!

However this is the wrong place for this, totally! But, there is no right place for it.

Maybe we need an other chat forum.

*sigh*

Okay, the usual number of changes that for the most part would be better if they left it as Tolkien wrote it, and strange decisions on what was clearly left on the cutting room floor (for inclusion in the extended version DVD) and what was included, but the movie is simply spectacular.

I have waited for this for...well, longer than most everyone on this board has been alive (hint, JRR Tolkien was still alive at the time I first read LOTR). As spectacular as the movies are, the book is still better. But all in all, the movies (extended versions preferred) are more than I could have ever truly expected. It was worth the wait for the technology to get to the point where the visuals could be done justice and someone brave enough to commit to all three films at once.

Ok... so who is gonna collect a bunch of MegaBlok knights for use as Orcs and BrikWar against my armies, and have a Pelennor Fields type battle?

Brikwars is a skirmish game (1 fig equals 1 individual). I doubt even Jimmy Parks has enough figures for that. Go with Fantasy Rules!

I can't say that I like Megablok figs. They have always seemed chintzy in comparison to Lego. Nor are they're proportions as pleasing.

You can amass a lot of them for really decent prices though and the Vorgan and the Norvagen figs make great creature armies. Not as good as Lego, sure, but at least they are readily available. Except where they have sold out...

Say what you want about Megabloks, they know how to design "playability" better than anything TLC has done for years. And "playability" is supposedly why castles of the last decade have lacked the "realism" we used to see back in the Classic era.

Seen the movie yesterday after I wrote my Anatomy and Physiology final.... WOW!!! Although unlike when I bought the Two Towers DVD, I will wait for the extended version of this one, perhaps even a boxed set, probably available this time next year.

The ROTK was - it was...

I still can't get over it. I watched it last night and I love it! Sure this is the wrong place to post, but my goodness! I just want to tell everybody to watch this movie! While watching the siege of Minas Tirith I felt pride for a country that dosen't even exist. It was an awsome movie.

Last I saw over 4,000. Something close to 300 barded horses.

Let me dig a bit:

Pictures of massive minifig armies. Still not enough for a 1 for 1 Battle of Pelennor Fields - which might I say, is simply the most massive battle ever put to film.

Burn The Two Towers DVD and get the extended version. I was disappointed in the film, but the extended version added back in all the parts that made the film so maddening. The Return of the King has all sorts of bits that are obviously going to appear in the extended DVD (but not the Scouring of the Shire, since Jackson never liked that chapter and didn't film it), but it didn't suffer as nearly as much as the middle film did from their lack. I will wait for the extended version of The Return of the King, however.

Sounds like you have a worm, or perhaps a virus. Update your virus checker, and run a system scan.

I once had a worm that kept trying to connect to the internet (back in the old days of dial-up). These ShiftyBrick connection windows kept popping up, much like your browser.
