Recieved this afternoon...

I'm not surprised it cost so much to ship... I was expecting something about half the size  ...! (See picture of unopened box and size 8 shoe comparison...) http://www.flickr.com/photos/andhe/8642998934/

I think I can get some of that size down by a good re-pack (I think I can see what individuals have added along the way by the different mixed bags) but some interesting bits and bobs in there.

I'm away this weekend, but should be able to get it to richard before the end of next week. This should give us a bit of breathing space to decide how we want to proceed with shipping the behemoth across the atlantic (at a glance, to send something this size looked to be about £40+, but I can let you know dimensions after I've had a repack).

Exciting!

It might be worth it to get with Frisky about the contents and see if are some large items that he's not too interested in. That way you can cut a bunch of the "bulk" out of the package. (for example, if there are any big piles of basic bricks or BURPs, boat hulls, etc.

Posted! Sorry for the delay, I was away last weekend and can only get to the post office when working from home during the day. Had a bit of back and forth to the post office to keep the cost reasonable both within the UK and across the Atlantic. I've been in communication with frisky and richardam about this.

Some great stuff in there! Frisky is in for a treat!

And with that the box is in northern Scotland!

I'm on work leave for the next week, so i'm going to sit down with the box, turn some stuff over, swap in, weigh and strategise- hoping to get it sent for a week today! There's lots of good stuff in there, definitely some hidden gems, particularly figwise and with the animals. A very nice collection of everything! :)

yep, we decided that you needed compensation for the ludicrous amount you had to pay for shipping, so I believe Andhe put together some parts. Enjoy!

Right! Dumped, sorted, examined, chosen! Here's what I took, as well as a S2 Pharoah and some of the LCC printed materials (missing from the photo).

For spoiler reasons, what I put in, I wont post here directly. At this point i'd like to think frisky has no idea what's in there so hopefully it can stay that way until arrival day! In the interest of fairness for everyone else participating though, here's what I put in.

My post office is closed tomorrow, so this wont be away now until monday. From there it should be back with frisky in a week. There's still lots inside- there's enough in there for another four recipients at least(!), definitely a good haul left over. Thanks frisky for running, and for everyone else for contributing. Thanks for having me too! :)
