Need some help...

Ok lego guys, i need some help. The year is 1985-87 the set i am looking for was that of a draw bridge/mini gatehouse and had a mini figure an black horse. My grandfather had ordered it and i got it in a brown box that said lego and the kit number but no pictures.

Un fortunitly my legos, and instructions were stolen from me in 88 or so. There for i dont have the set number or remember what the set was called. Does this discription ring a bell with anyone?

Doesn't ring a bell with me (that was my time as a kid and castle was my main theme/interest back then, great sets!) Looking at the description with a gatehouse I'm thinking of the 6074 Black Falcon's Fortress, the only other possibilty could be the 6067 Guarded Inn.

Thanks for the help guys. Alas none of the sets mentioned are it. The closeist is 6074, but it wasnt as complex. Perhaps i had a prototype that never went to production who knows.... like i said it was a plain brown box said lego with a p/n. An i went thru all the brickset info an nota. I really dislike the little puke who took my legos from the bus stop whilst going to school. Ah well it was worth a shot.

Maybe you remember one of the alternative builds (ah, good times) and not the main model... I vaguely remember a bridge or something as an alternative build of one of my old castle sets.

Black Monarch’s Castle 6085 has a black horse and a draw bridge and as an alternative build a tower bridge:



Knight’s Stronghold 6059 has a bridge with superstructure as an alternative build (with a white horse)

and Black Knight’s Castle 6086 has a drawbridge and a black horse on it as one of it's detail photos

Could it be the alternate build of the original Blacksmith shop http://brickset.com/detail/?set=6040-1
The instructions came with 2 ways to build this set. One way to build was as the Blacksmith the other build was a small tower a figure and a black horse.
