Kendrick's Journey Pt. 1 (built by my little bro)

Post by soccerkid6 »

My 11 year old brother built this.

Kendrick has left his home and is going to meet two traders that he will be traveling with. Here he has just caught a fish for supper :

He would appreciate any comments/suggestions, thanks for all the feedback so far :)

If there is one thing I've learned during my travels, it's that always having a banana with you is critical.

He did a great job with the colors from green to dark tan to brown, and I also saw some mottling with dark gray under the surface. Nice detail! The plate texturing and plant variety is really good as well.

Keep up the good work!

Indeed, a banana is a must  Glad you like it, I gave him some tips on the landscaping and then let him go from there :)

Dude, your 11 year old brother is better than me!

I like, the body of water and shore look very natural. Nice plant combos as well. I like seeing his builds.

Thanks SSchmidt! He's been MOCing for a while though, here is a link to his oldest builds: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=483164 and I actually helped him more with those than these new ones :)

Great little MOC! Be sure and encourage him. When he's older he'll make a great Lenfel :D

Thanks Gary! I do my best to encourage him, but I'm afraid he may become a Loreesi  (I'll try and convince him otherwise though, he just likes his tans  )

This is great! :) I like how he smoothly transitioned between green, dk tan, and brown, it looks great and has a very natural feel to it.

Sweet scene there... your bro is building so well for his age, better than anything I could have built at 11. :tasty: Granted you probably have more pieces for him to use but still, well done. Now get him to try his hand at a much larger terrain!
