The Tower of the Eastern Mage
Zarghull, the necromancer has risen a horde of undead in the Dead Wastes and is marching on Rivermist.
The first line of defense is Gin'kaht - the Tower of the Eastern Mage. While the Eastern Mage is currently unavailable a brave group of heroes is facing their deadliest foes yet.

Impressive build The tower is very majestic and I love the stone section of the blue house. Great job incorporating the tudor section on the tower as well

Re: The Tower of the Eastern Mage
Thanks guys, it all means a lot to me from the builders whose work I marvel at every time you post updates
I've had the blue inn done for two years and the tower itself was finished in march, but the final diorama was rushed together for the first public display of my local LUG, LUG Szeged (https://www.facebook.com/lugszeged). That's why there are some LEGO sets in there such as the blacksmith and the windmill. I plan on expanding the scene and replacing the LEGO sets with original builds.

Nice tower, it's huge! I really like the color scheme of the village and everything but the starting of the desert seems a little sudden.

Well. The desert is a magical desert, it was created by Guldan 3 millenia ago to contain the unspeakable evil that lived at its center. For centuries noone dared enter the realm of the dead. And since the desert is magical and not weather induced, it starts abruptly.

Magic is magic so that can work but how does it "contain" this evil you speak of? Is it just to big for it to travel to the edge? Not trying to be the Lego under your feet, I'm just curious.

Sweet, lots of stuff to look at! The tower and the blue house are both absolutely magnificent; they both look like they popped out of concept art for a medieval fantasy game.

Re: The Tower of the Eastern Mage
The ancient evil at the center of the current Dead Wastes draws its power from the lifeforce of humanoids. When Guldan realized this he turned the surroundings into a magical desert void of any form of life. However Guldan made a mistake. He thought only the lifeforce of humanoids was enough for this ancient evil to sustain itself. But during the millenia the ancient evil slowly gathered enough energy from small beetles and desert rats to call out to anyone willing to hear its call. Zarghull followed the calling and entered the Dead Wastes and formed a pact with the ancient evil: Zarghull would be granted the power to raise the dead if he was willing to use his newly amassed force to march for Rivermist and retake the lands in the name of the ancient evil.Daken the Bladesmith wrote:Magic is magic so that can work but how does it "contain" this evil you speak of?
