LCC - Heroes Guild - A2 - Entering Garheim

My Heroes Guild A2 entry:

Marcus Sureshot and his companions Harald and William traveled north for several days before arriving at the Lenfald-Garheim border. As they approached the crossing, they saw a small watchtower guarding the crossing.
"Well, looks like they are ready for visitors of any kind," smiled Harald, looking a little apprehensive.
"I don't blame them," remarked Marcus,"these are rather unstable times."
"I'd feel better if they knew we were friendly," continued Harald,"William, don't you have a Lenfel flag in some pocket or other?"
"I do indeed," replied his brother as he pulled out the object in question.
Somewhat reassured by the knowledge their allegiance was now obvious, the trio continued forward. As the approached the tower, they could see two crossbowmen observing them intently from the parapet.
"Halt! What is you business?" boomed a voice.
Marcus and his friends had been so intent on the bowmen that they had not noticed the Garhim that now stood before them.
"We don't really have a plan, mostly we just want to see the region," replied Marcus, "We're perfectly peaceful Lenfels."
"Hmmm, yes I suppose you are," grunted the guard,"but know that any wrong doing will result in swift punishment."
"I would expect nothing less from the rulers of the north," put in Harald.
The man smiled,"Indeed, now, do you have anything to declare?"
"Only some Lenfel crafts," said William.
"And what might those be?"
"Why, our bows and arrows, of course."
"Most amusing, gentlemen," replied the Garhim, obviously trying to stay serious but nonetheless somewhat amused.
"Any recommendations?" asked Marcus.
"Follow the river to Grahnhaven," was the answer, "there is always much to see there."
After thanking the Garhim, the trio began their adventure in Garheim.

I think this is my favorite build from you yet! I like how you angled the tower and the dark red roof, stable, and vine add a lot of character to the watchtower.
Excellent tree too :)

Indeed, you are improving greatly! The building and tree look very nice, the onlty thing I would change is the mottling on the ground, all of the random tan and brown looks a bit messy. Try doing one color for a path and setting in some stones to liven it up.

I actually think that a two-toned path can be OK, but use two colors that are closer to the same shade. For example, brown and dark tan, brown and dark gray, tan and light gray, etc.

I usually do a base of one or two colors, and then cobble over the top of that with 1x1 round and square plates and tiles.
