Garheim Mercenary WIP

Post by Daken the Bladesmith »

As the title says it's a mercenary I'm working on to add to my story and wanted to get your guys' opinions on him and if I should change anything. :)

Also that is a sword-staff I made from a BA sword and a new Lego spear shaft. It was mainly used in Sweden and since Garheim is kinda Swedish (vikings) I thought I would make one.

You dismembered one of the new spears?? :twitch:

It does look pretty cool though. The fig is a tad "musketeer-y" to fit in well with the gruff and rough Garhims, IMHO.

I get a late 15th to early 16th century feel from this guy, which I'm sure you are going for. The sword-spear is really ingenious (although I agree with AK's sentiment; you cut up a new spear? :o )

I'm not directly involved in the LCC, but my understanding is that Garheim borders Lenfald, and in that border the area is greener and more deciduous than the far north, so perhaps he fits in better than the ruff tuff guys up north (that AK was mentioning.) Then again, he is a mercenary, so he could be clad in garb from an area in the world where he trained prior, or from somewhere else altogether? Regardless, a really neat fig.

Great 'fig! Though I would never have the courage to cut up a spear like that. :woo:

Yeah good job cutting those and not screwing it up - I'm too scared to try... make some more though perhaps, great idea! 8)

Thanx guys! I was a little hesitant to cut up the spear and the sword but I thought the end result would look even better and I can always get new ones.

I know he isn't what you usually see in the land of Garheim but times are a changing so I think I can make him work, don't you? :)
