The ranks of Garheim swell yet further:
Falki Rogvirson
Falki is a laborer of 24 years of age. He was born in Rothburg, son of Rogvirr, a blacksmith, and Alfdis, formerly a tavern girl. Falki never knew his mother Alfdis, as she died in childbirth. Despite the loss of his true love, Rogvirr thanked the gods for blessing him with a son, and raised Falki the best that he knew how. Falki flourished under the tutelage of his skilled father, and became very adept at working metal. He lived a good life for a commoner - food was never scarce, and his father's fine craftsmanship brought the two of them some measure of prestige in the community. Falki chafed somewhat under the strictures of life in Rothburg. He disliked affecting a formal manner with the knights that made up the bulk of his father's customers. Despite his minor annoyances however, Falki planned to continue his father's work and take over the shop when Rogvirr grew too old to wield a hammer.
Falki future plans were dashed the night that his father's shop burned to the ground. Had Falki not thrown himself from a second story window, he would likely be no more than ash and bone, yet he has not forgiven himself for the death of his father, who was trapped on the ground floor and unable to escape the blaze.
Since the cruel accident that deprived him of his father and his future, Falki has traveled Garheim, assisting local blacksmiths and plying small metal wares to survive. Of late, he has resided in Granhaven, where he has answered the call to join the town militia. Falki sees this as a great opportunity to perhaps save up enough money to open his own blacksmithing shop and potentially earn himself some glory along the way. Only time will tell whether Falki's future holds fairer luck.

If anyone is attending BrickFair Va and has the pieces for the Jhirian Eindrik (our leader) please FM me (on Flickr). I am willing to buy the pieces for him.

Thank you for the warm welcome, everyone! I'm very excited to join Garheim, the quality of builds here really blows me away. I'm just getting back into building after a long separation from Lego, and I can't wait to apply some of the amazing techniques that I've seen in LCC MOCs! I am definitely in the process of adding to my bricks, so expect mainly small builds from me while I acquire more pieces and technical skill, but I look forward to Falki playing his own small role in the history of Roawia!

Re: LCC - Garheim Official Faction Thread *NEW LC13!*
I haven't seen any LC entries yet so I'm a bit unsure about posting mine now. But here it goes:
Preparing for the Festivities
Story:
My horse and I trotted down the forested road along with the bustling crowd. The air was full of noises and smells. You could feel joy and anticipation in the air. People of all sorts filled the roadway, carrying eating wares, and all assortments of food. However, I knew that unfortunately and yet in a sense fortunate at the same, I would not be joining them. For the chief of the town had suddenly fallen dangerously ill. Knowing that he would not be able to attend the feast in honor of our new queen, he chose to send me in his stead. As I approached the crossroads, I saw to the side a group of men about to roast a hog. My mouth slightly drooled then, I must admit. When it became time to turn, I left the crowd on the road out of town, rather than the road into the heart of town that near everyone was taking. With the crowd decreased I picked up my pace to a gallop, in hopes of reaching my destination quicker.

I suggest checking it out on my Flickr because I have a bunch of close ups of things that may be hard to see in the picture: http://www.flickr.com/photos/96271753@N ... otostream/
Thanks!

My first free build for LCC
When i first started this project i was leaning toward a Garheim city, but then realized that sand is more Loreos. I was too far ahead in the project to change that aspect so i continued. My next will look a lot more like Garheim.
Enjoy!
