Also, any word on the August bonus yet?
I got my joust in the lego store as I had a coupon and I earned my 5%. This made the price easier to swallow ;)

By online do you mean bricklink or S@H? I would personally buy such big sets directly from lego, unless you find a good discount, because then you can get VIP points. The sets you are talking about already get you 175 points, and if you haven't signed up for VIP yet, it will be brought up to 200. That's already 10 dollars.

VIP points save you 5%. If you can do better than that online, I'd go for it.

For August, there will be two polybags you can get with your purchase. One is a Friends ice cream stand that comes with the purchase of any friends set. The other is a galaxy squad mini-mech that you get when you spend $50 or more.

Maybe this time the PAB wall will have sand green 1x3s. :P

@Sschmidt , if the choice is between S@H online or the store, I'd go with the store. You are able to see the specific boxes you'll be getting etc. I don't recall if S@H is doing any free shipping offers atm, but if not you'd save that too.
Build? I merely Acquire atm.

Yeah I think I will just go in store because I want to get some more PAB cups when I am there again.

The next time I go to the LEGO store I plan on getting the following:
-Tower of Orthanc x1
-Kingdom's Joust x1
-Kingdom's Chess Set x2
-Legends of Chima Minifigure Pack x1

I could order all this online, but then I would be driving 3 1/2 hours for the Pick-A-Brick wall, and that doesn't seem worth it
Also, I didn't get a good chance to look at all the creations they had on display in there, so I want to check those out again too. All in all it just points to a weekend getaway or find some excuse to go up there for work!

And I plan on getting a little bit of LEGO swag too (LOTR Orc Keychain, etc. )

Hey Sschmidt, if you break that up and buy, say Orthanc in-store, then order the rest online, you can get 2x the free polybags. Just a thought ;)

That is definitely a thought that crossed my mind. I didn't know if the employees would let me break down each purchase to get a few polybags, or if I would have to leave the store and of back on separate days.

Has anyone else done this?

Afterall, free Lego is the best lego

They probably would frown on it, but I don't know if it would be outright disallowed.

Best bet is to just do it online, especially if there is free shipping. Nobody can yell at you that way ;)

Yeah I think I will place multiple LEGO Orders on online, and then get Orthanc in store.

you could do that in the store i have been there when people have done it. the guy at the counter was kind of reluctant to do it, but he did it anyway. It all depends on who is working, I would advise against it how ever. just split order between on-line an in-store. Personally for a lego hot dog cart I wouldn't bother splitting the order but that's me. My wife likes the cart but we kinda both agree it is an eh... kit. Now I cant wait for the fall Poly bag to come out I will be buying a stack of those :D

This one is the one I was told about, but haven't heard when it will be in stores. as of last month when I was last there the manager didnt know when it was going to come in. Reviews are starting to pop up on you tube within like the last two days so I assume it will be out soon.

They had those polys on sale at the Bellevue, WA store as of yesterday.

Personally, I don't see much appeal in that set, other than the mushrooms. I suppose if you really love "tooth" plates, it's a good one, but the figs are kind of boring, particularly the plain red one. :?
