Ok which of these buying options would you guys recommend: buying a pair of black dragon wings from one of these sellers: 1) seller in belgium, has a total of 32 wings for sale, sells only in pairs (doesn't matter to me) at a price of 18.60 a wing. He also requires a phone number be added in the order. Ratings= 2077 praise, 1 total complaint (which was more then a year ago)
2) seller in germany, has a total of 2 wings for sale, price of 18.96 a wing. Does not require phone number. Ratings = 422 praise, 3 complaints, all of which were in april or may...

On one hand, the belgium sellers wings are slightly cheaper, and he has better ratings and no complaints within the last 6 months. But he also requires a phone number, and says on his page that they are moving to a new warehouse and there may be a delay in shipping. On the other hand, the german fellow has slightly more expensive products, and 3 complaints within the last 6 months, all 3 of which basically amount to "packed like sh*t" or "failed delivery, seller would not resend refund or respond"... But he would probably ship faster, and he does not require a phone number with the order.

Both have decent reviews, both are selling new wings, both are overseas, both are about $18 per wing, $36 total. Not a bad price considering some guys are selling used wings for $25 a piece. I just want some advice because a) this is my first transaction and b) it is a very rare piece, and thus pretty expensive.

Thanks! :)

If the shipping is comparable, which I assume it is, I would certainly go with the Belgium seller (unless you don't have access to a phone  ). You don't want $20 pieces getting lost or damaged and I doubt your order would be delayed much if any. Either option would probably have a happy ending but that's what I'd do.

Yes that is what I am leaning towards... Plus, I messaged the german seller with a question about 30 hours ago, no reply. I want to order these pieces before all the "good deals" are snapped up.

Asking for a phone number just implys, in my mind, that he cares enough about his customers to add a contact number to the customs form, in the event there are any problems.

I'd go w the Belgium guy and feel good about it. Ask for tracking or insurance. It will be worth the extra $1-2 for such valuable parts.

Ok.
Trying to purchase wings from belgium guy. Clicked on item, took me to super lot of two items besides the wings. Clicked on the wing part id. So now it just shows the wings. Clicked add selected items to cart. It reloads the page. I go to cart. Says cart is empty.

What do I do here? I just want a pair of wings, not a super lot, and I seem to be unable to buy the wings! Help?

EDIT: never mind, figured it out. Now how do I add a phone number to the order? Just put it in the notes? Because this guy says "no phone number = no shipment"... And also how do I add tracking onto the order?

Can you give us a link to the store? It would be easier to understand the situation that way.

Yes I could. But I think I can spell it out...

In his store terms, the seller says "phone number required with order. No phone number = no shipment." There is no additional information given on the subject. So I just want to know where to add a phone number when placing the order. I am assuming that this is in the notes section when placing the original order, and I just want to clarify, because I definitely want the order shipped.

My second question is how to add tracking on to an order. Is this in the second stage of the transaction, during payment specifications?

here is the link to the store: http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=rh ... ndID=29950

Thanks. :)

In the notes, I would say:
Phone number, as required: (555) 555-5555 (USA)
Also, I would like to add tracking to the package, if that does not come standard. Please add that to my invoice total.

Sincerely,

Ferretclaw
PS - that is the oddest super lot I've ever seen :P
At least the other two items are not expensive. (you figured out that you only have to buy 1 super lot to get 2 wings, right? :) )

(Yeah. I just resigned myself to another 38 cents, lol. Heck that boat prow might prove remotely useful someday :D ) ok that is pretty close to what I put. Thanks :)
