(LCC) Reestablishing contact, pt 2
After staying in Lenfald for several days, Hawk trudged on into the the northernmost province of Garheim. As the lush trees gradually turned into bitter frost and chilling snow, Hawk wondered aloud to himself as to how anyone could make this their home.
When he finally arrived at his destination, a small tree along a backwater path, about a mile outside of Havenhill. The stubby tree had been marked with a tattered red flag; nothing that would draw too much attention, but a recognizable symbol to his informant. After a short wait, he saw his Garheim informant approaching.
His name was Fjord, an older gentleman who had served in many Garheim militia's in his time. Now retired, he enjoyed spending time at the local tavern, picking up rumors from drunken nobles and others who happened to come by.
After the two men explained pleasantries, Fjord told Hawk about a rare opportunity that he had heard about from a passerby earlier that day; The new queens coronation was happening soon, and a variety of powerful noblemen and prestigious business men would be there. Not being one to pass up free food, and the opportunity to maybe make friends with some of the most powerful people in Rowia, Hawk left in a hurry, to prepare for the coming event...

Nice. I really love using curved slopes as snow in MOCs. I think it creates a great contrast when straight slopes and studs are used for rocks/paths/grass.
Might want to get some of these (in white... ):
They're awesome for covering real estate with LEGO snow!

I agree with mrcp6d, your snow looks great! Excellent little pine tree and figs as well

Nice vig and cool story! I'm actually a big fan of vigs; the prickly evergreen and the drifts of snow along the path give a perfect depiction of Garheim in a vig of this size. Great job!

Thanks Ronin! When I built the vig, I was trying to capture a small chunk of how I felt Garheim looked. Good to know I was doing it right!

This really is a solid vig. I especially like the snow, the curved slopes look fantastic.
